"I can't say enough nice things about Mr Pete. My friend's child has severe ADHD and had been home schooled his entire life. We wanted him to start getting experience being in a learning environment around other kids in hopes that his child can go to a normal school one day. The child definitely struggles with his focus, behavior and emotions. We've been taking him to Mr Pete's twice a week for about 4 months now and his behavior has improved significantly. We love how Mr Pete gently reaffirms his expectations and the rules when kids lose focus and start messing around. Mr Pete is able to earn the respect of the children he teaches. Seeing how Mr Pete is able to help my friend's child control himself and follow the expectations in a classroom so he doesn't disrupt others gives my friend a lot of hope that his child can improve over time with more experiences like this and therapy. In the beginning Mr Pete would softly remind the child of the rules and expectations. He never yells or loses his cool. Now after 4 months he can ask the child what is he supposed to be doing and the child corrects himself immediately when Mr Pete needs to address the child for losing focus. So it's clear the child understands rules, expectations, and can reign himself in and just needs more help and a lot of practice to regulate his emotions and behavior. In the last class I went to with my friend and his child I noticed another new child who most likely also struggles with ADHD and Mr Pete again works his magic in gaining the child's respect and helping him regulate himself and get back in line. We are extremely grateful to Mr Pete for being a part of so many children's journey to learn discipline and gain self improvement."
