Reviews of Country Feed Store
"Fantastic feed store. I have been coming here for years. The staff is always helpful with any kind of question."
"If it needs food or shelter, (but not humans), this place has it. Friendly and helpful staff. Always have what I need for our critters!"
"Honest review I am giving this 1 star review for one of the owners is attitude. I have been shopping from this store for about year and a month ago I bought 2 bag of chicken feed 40 lb each, unfortunately they had some black bug in them and start to crawl all over our house, car so have to call pest control company to manage the problem. Without opening the back, I brought them to the store and the Gentleman at that time , Far as I learned he is one of the owners, he understands the situation and apologized and took the backs back and promised me new backs soon is comes next delivery. When I come to pick up the new food, there was a lady As the cashier told me She is the second owner and SHE WAS very ver ANGRY for some reason and wasn’t nice at all, she claimed that it’s happens and that’s not there responsibility. I have to pay more to get different food . We really do support small businesses and I don’t want to even mention there store very difficult to drive in and out due to crazy traffic and instead saying thank you, she petty much kicked me out her store and this is how we are welcomed!! Thank you. Now I buy all my food from online. Definitely I won’t recommend this store!! Not friendly at all"
"I bought 2 bales of straw from Country Feed Store in June of 2022. I used it in my garden as mulch. My beans withered and died a few days later. A few days after that all of my tomatoes began to grow in crazy deformed ways. After trying a bunch of things to save them I did extensive research, and then an at home test that concluded that the straw had been treated with the herbicide aminopyralid. (Incidentally if you use straw in your garden please google aminopyralid, aka Grazon. Seriously.) I contacted of the owner of Country Feed Store, thinking he would want to know that something was amiss with his product. He was adamant that his supplier was certified organic and didn’t want to hear about my concerns. As in, so adamant that he didn’t even let me finish a sentence. He just cut me off and said it was impossible that his straw could have been contaminated by anything and unless I had the results of an official laboratory test he had nothing to say to me. I asked if he could let me know who his supplier is so I could tell them about my issue. They said they don’t disclose their suppliers to the public. In the middle of the short conversation the owner (without saying anything) put the phone on speaker and seemed to walk away because all of the sudden a woman (no idea who she was) just started talking in his place. It was a very strange exchange. For all I know, the farmer who supplies them could have a neighbor who over sprayed. If I was an organic farmer I would want to know that my product is being contaminated. Country feed store was too defensive to even bother looking into an issue with their product, let alone helping or extending courtesy to their supplier or their customer. I will definitely take my business elsewhere from now on."
"Picked up some 6-weeks old Golden Laced Wyandotte chicks. Loved the selection of chickens and animal supplies - we were able to get everything we needed from here for ~$50. And got to meet Kitty Kitty in the store!"
