"Had a great experience with the hand building class. The studio had a wealth of materials and tools to work with. Our instructor Sammy was very knowledgeable and helpful with all skill levels. The class was very well organized. I would definitely come back."
"I came from Waukesha Potter’s Shop where I fell in love with making pottery…needed to switch because of location and this was the only option. I had a bad feeling leaving the first class, but knew I couldn’t get a refund or credit and wanted to give them a chance so I kept going. I learned different techniques but the staff and teacher are incredibly rude and disorganized, I couldn’t find 2 completed pots I knew was mine and the staff didn’t care or help. Customer service and kindness is a negative star. I like pottery enough though to appreciate the new techniques I now know because of Dan. If you can, take a class at the Potter’s Shop in Waukesha instead, way worth the drive if you are in Milwaukee and priced similarly!"
"We had a date night here. It was our first time working with clay and this was really fun... $88 bucks for a couple. There were around 10-12 people in the class with various levels of experience. The person leading the group, Alanis (I think), was experienced, kind, had an extreme amount of patience, and was really funny. I would definitely do another class here - we all got 2-3 pieces to pick up in a later date!"
"I recommend a class for anyone whether you are creative, want to get in touch with your creativity or just need to clear your head and get out of the house. I took the raku pottery class which was lots of fun and a great value! The studio is large and well supplied. Everyone is very supportive even if you are a beginner. Colleen really is good with people and makes sure you have a great experience. There was a couples date night wheel throwing pottery class going on and I was surprised at how many men really enjoyed it. There is also pottery available for purchase if you would like to just stop in for a one of a kind gift."
"I took a wheel class here over the summer, and then signed up for a hand-building class that is currently in session. Both experiences have been great. The teachers and rest of the staff are knowledgeable and approachable. There's a fabulous selection of glazes, and the layout is really relaxing and easy to navigate. I had taken classes at another local studio in the past, but Cream City Clay is way better. There's a nice variety of classes, and the staff encourages novice potters, which was not really the case with the other place."
