"This is a great to school to go to, I do go there and I am a middle school there. I do have my concerns with this school, like how some teachers can be very noisy and they can sometimes ask way to many questions. I have had multiple teachers ask me things in the past that future should not have answered. Certain teacher are very disrespectful towards students and they yell, only a couple of teachers can control them selves from yelling. And sometimes the teachers don't want to do with certain students who finish there work fast. Those were some bad things, here are some good things. Most teachers are nice there, even the ones who yell. The teachers there are very very helpful and very good problem solvers. They have fun activities that we do sometimes and some of the teachers I had were really fun, and they taught me a lot. So that's all I wanted to see you later!"
"I have all my 4 boys at Bethune. It's by far the best school ever!!"
"My nephew attends the school. Great staff, they are very professional. He has been learning and shares it daily with family. Way to go teachers."
"This school has double standards. Mr. Hernon, an 8th grade teacher went against MPS policy and allowed kids to have phones and earphones in class. At the end of the school year when he couldn't handle the behavior of the class, he went to the Vice Principal talking about the kids being out of hand using the phones Nd earphones in class during instruction. If he had never went against an MPS policy, there wouldn't have been an issue from the start. I also had a talk with another employee at the school who confirmed the actions of Mr. Hermon. My child got "double dinged" and wasn't allowed to participate in the picnic or 8th grade graduation. However, no reprimand was given to Mr. Hermon. I will be filing a formal complaint with Central Services tomorrow. These teachers need to be held accountable!"
"I needed to set up bus service and asked the school to assist me as it was something I've never done before. I was told that it would take about a week to have it changed or I might have to speak to the bus company.......that was the last I heard from anyone on the subject no follow up, no contact as to who I could actually call or what bus company I could call. I didn't feel like I was really being listened to when I talked to staff or that my concerns where important. The attitude seemed to be to just get me out they way. I felt like I was being rushed.. The nurse was nice and professional. From the administration who seem to be to busy to return my calls and address issues I might have, to the front desk staff who just let me stand there until I actually had to flag someone down, really need to work on their communication skills."
