"prices are great but it really depends on who does your hair. first time i went in sandy was incredibly kind, bubbly and attentive to what I wanted, and cut my hair evenly, i loved her :) i went in for another trim a few days later, had another gamma hairstylist that was also very nice and i was happy with her work as i left the salon, but after I got home and showered i realized there were a few sections of my hair that were not symmetrical. one side of my bangs is way way too short and it doesn’t stay down without styling it. I can’t do anything about it now except grow it out unfortunately. besides this, everything is clean , they wash your hair and my trim was free because it was within two weeks of my first appointment. teachers are always checking in on their students, and I can tell many of these people do well with their clients and have a passion for hair styling, but the bangs situation is very upsetting even if it was accidental"

"I had my hair done here in October and it was done really, really well. I booked with that student again but that had to be rescheduled due a snowstorm. I rescheduled for 1:30 on a Monday and they changed it to 5:30 and switched the student the day before without notifying me. I definitely do not recommend working with the PM classes. The student was nice but did not understand the instructions. It was done wrong and quite a bit of my existing color was showing. The instructor agreed that it was incorrect but signed off on it being done anyway. I talked with the front desk and was told it would be a $20 charge to have it fixed the next day with a different student. She did okay with the color; it was much better than what the first student did but still not really what I asked for. She left my hair damp and frizzy, and used scented products after I requested they don't because they trigger migraines. The instructor signed off on it being done a second time. They charged me $50 instead of $20 to fix it, so I ended up paying $110 for a partially correct color job with no styling after. The first student I originally booked with in October was so talented and the instructor she had then was incredibly helpful. The second time and third time we had the evening instructor (Tammy) and, while she was very nice to me and did a great bang trim, she gave the students confusing directions and did not correct their mistakes at the end. It's possible that I just got an abnormally talented and independently capable student the first time, but the result is more likely reflective of the instructor."

"Many years ago I had a friend whose daughter was going to school here and she asked if I could go in and get a service done so she could get some experience. I made an appointment for a hair cut and she did an amazing job! I continued making appointments for all different services over the years because the service is just as good as any salon and usually under half the price. I've had my brows done, manicures, cuts, perms, highlights, a facial, and even a quick chair massage. I've been more than happy with my results each and every time. I just can't imagine paying $60 for a haircut when you can get one just as good for $10."

"Service: keratin complex straightening. I am sad this didn't turn out the way I was expecting, however, I am at least grateful that my hair didn't get even more damage than it already had. It is as if I never had the hair treatment done but gave $180 to aveda for nothing. I know there's a risk when paying for a service done by a student but at least I was expecting to see a small difference (in the worst case scenario). Don't get me wrong, service was great, the staff was very nice to me and I am only upset because of the situation not at the student in particular. I have had this hair treatment done more than 5 times in my life (in Mexico and Mke) and this is the first time that the results have me unsatisfied. I don't know if this has something to do with the results but I noticed that I couldn't even feel or smell the products when applied, I usually see the difference even after the first few hours (greasier, stickier) , there is a sticky feel to it that and I've felt and seen this every single time I've gotten this done to my hair. This was not the case, and my hair didn't even look greasy throughout the 72 hours that I'm not supposed to shower it. I usually see the stylist apply a bigger amount of product to each small section of my hair but this case was the opposite. I didn't say anything because who am I to correct the master? But it makes sense now, I don't think enought product was applied to each section, it even felt very very lightweight. As I said before, I paid 150 for the service + 30 tip. I believe the stylist deserved it as she was nice and I was obviously expecting this to work. I'm wondering if I can get a refund or if there's a way to compensate the results? I attached photos to show how frizzy and unchanged is my hair after the appointment."
