Covering Wisconsin

Covering Wisconsin is a health insurance agency located at 432 North Lake Street in Madison, Wisconsin. As a program of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension, our mission is to help Wisconsin residents connect with health insurance and other programs that support health. Our services include assistance with signing up for health insurance, information on BadgerCare Plus, and resources such as health insurance "how-to" sheets. We are funded by grants and donations and serve the entire state of Wisconsin.

In addition to health insurance assistance, Covering Wisconsin also offers free language assistance services and provides privacy notices in both English and Spanish. We are a federally certified and state licensed navigator entity that does not discriminate based on various factors such as age, race/ethnicity, religion, and more.

Our publication is supported by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). While 51% of our funding comes from CMS/HHS, 0.6% is funded by non-government sources.
