Reviews
"Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Fast turn around times on bike service as well."
"Summit bicycle shop at the plant is the most professional team I have ever seen at any bike shop. When I have a question they answer it correctly in detail. I always have questions because I like to learn about my bicycle in order to correctly repair or replace parts as needed. When I need something ordered, they can get me the product I am looking for and they call me when the part arrives at the shop in the most professional manner I have heard from a bicycle shop. They are friendly, knowledgeable & professional in all ways. They even sell the park tool chain wear checker cc-2 tool. Which I asked another bike shop I used to go to and they said "they go by eye" What the hell do you mean by eye? This is my one stop bicycle shop for all my needs. Thank you Michael, Joseph, Dalton and the rest of the team at summit bicycles."
"Treat kids and customers better. Went to get a bicycle for son as a birthday gift and the nice guy at the front explained to the kid about the size of bike, showed him some choices and said he will find us in a few minutes. The son had selected two bikes and wanted to ask the store employee a question before picking one. In the meantime, as the store employee was busy, we were looking at other bicycles in the store and my son happened to touch a Trek adult bike with a garmin. I was just telling him to be careful and another store employee tells him that the garmin is expensive, the bike is expensive and it is precariously place in a rude tone. Give me a break. This was uncalled for at so many levels. There was no sign saying do not touch. Placing a bike in your shop “precariously” is NOT a customers concern let alone a kids. He could have said it nicely but did not. We walked out. It does look like a good store but based on our experience is not kid friendly and certainly was not for us."
"I'm a casual cyclist and I bought my entry level road bike from here in 2015. The bicycle purchasing experience was pleasant. The employee answered my questions, helped me with a basic fit, and even gave me a small discount. I've visited occasionally and bought a few items since then. The following experience was the trigger for this review. I dropped off my bicycle for service on a recent Friday and got it back 10 days later. I understand that they're busy in the summer seasons, but what frustrated me was that the service representatives continued to give me bad estimates for when they'd finish service. When I dropped off my bicycle, they gave me an initial estimate of 3 to 4 days. When I called on day 4, they pushed the service out a few days. When I called on day 9, they pushed the estimated date again! If I knew up front that service would take 10 days or even a week, then I would not have left my bicycle for service. None of the service representatives acknowledged this. They did not seem to care about either. Aside from this experience, interactions with this store have been average. Unless you're interested in a bicycle, the employees will give minimum help. The in-store and online purchase experience is also average."
