"Sam was absolutely amazing. We told him what bikes we were leaning towards. He set up the bikes for us to test ride. To ensure that we were positive on the bike we wanted, he had me test out another brand but in the same category of bike. I think i spent about 3 hrs in the store and it was good fun. We're ordering a bike from the store thanks to Sam being so great with us."
"Tuned up two bikes that had a bit of a beating last winter. Service was fast, reasonably priced and great work. Thanks for the help! Will be back of course."
"Great bike shop and excellent customer service. I've purchased 3 bikes from them, and they've either matched the price of other shops, or sell at a lower price. Their bike maintenance and tune ups are also really good. I will continue to recommend and buy from Velocipede . Best bike shop in SF for me and I've been to quite a few!"
"I ordered a bike for my daughter and a helmet on the store's website on July 23 and once the order was confirmed it gave me a pick up date of July 29. After waiting an additional week I tried calling to check on order status (without answer) and emailing the store without response. I went into the store August 27 to inquire about the status of the order and got a strange look/response that they don't get that bike in from the distributor and that it's a problem with the website. Not any sorry for inconvenience, offer to make anything right, explanation of why they didn't proactively reach out to me to refund an order they can't fulfill. I asked them to cancel the order and refund which two store clerks said they couldn't do and would have to wait for someone else not present. I did receive the refund but what a terrible experience. I've spent a good deal of money here on my own bike and get treated like a moron for expecting an online order to be fulfilled. My bad! I'll try other stores in the future and suggest you do the same."
"Pro level service for any bike. I came in to have my 15 year old Trek Madone bike worked on. The service was excellent and Fred and his crew were patient in answering questions and going over options. I loved the advice/service and went back to browse the store in more depth and got to see quite a range of bikes from electric to road to casual. While I wasn’t looking to buy a new bike as they’d just fixed my old one, I was curious about what’s out there and asked a lot of questions about the range of bikes they have. In the end, I did end up buying a new bike. The fact that they are detail oriented, great listeners and informative (without being biased) helped me make a confident decision in a relatively big investment. The bike set up was also complex and required multiple trials to find the right fit for me but Fred and his team were always patient and willing to try different set ups. The most important factors for me were their patience and expertise, I wouldn’t have bought a new bike of this nature if I didn’t feel confident in their post purchase support. All star service all around and they also happen to be in a great neighborhood for testing out a bike if you’re in the market for a new ride. Side note: I also saw several riders come in with basic service needs like flat tires... again, they treated everyone wonderfully and offered a high level of service whether the bikes were newer or older — as I had experienced in bringing a 15 year old bike for service here initially."
