"If you want privacy this is not the place to rent. Steve the manager lives there and never answers calls. If you have a maintenance problem good luck getting someone to fix it. Steve is a horrible person to deal with. If you have a dog not let it bark you'll be evicted.I lived there there for 2 horrible years. If your 1 minute late on your rent he'll charge you $40 late fee. My dog was a emotional support dog and tried to say she barked all the time and my neighbors complained. I spoke with my neighbors and none of them complained. The basement where the storage and laundry are is dirty and musty smelling. The basement floods so stuff has to be up on palettes so it doesn't get wet. I would be very cautious about renting here. The neighborhoods isn't the best."
"Hello all who is reading this today. I am currently living in the arboretum edge apartments in apt #3 at 2026 fish hatchery rd. I moved in April 1st of this year, signed a lease til next year july31st of 2023. For those of you who liked to be profiled, stalked above your apartment, watched on the camera’s and be falsely evicted or lease terminated with no reason of cause this is the place for you. Oh yeah, Steve the property manager lives above me in apartment 11 with his old roommate who haunts you everywhere you go. I could go on for days on how awful of a person Steve is but he’s mentioned enough in the reviews. If you like your privacy this also is not the place for u. The walls and ceilings are thin and yes you will b heard and hear others. If u r not white like me this might also affect your living status here. In conclusion, this place is not home!"
"Honestly I would give 0 star if it is an option. The apartment itself is actually quite nice, but management is so horrible that you DO NOT want to do business with them at all let alone calling that place your home. The other comments have already mentioned that the manager Steve is very slow at returning calls. This is very true. The apartment is actually nice. The interior common area is relatively clean. Pet friendly. The 1 bedroom + den is actually a 2 bedroom (but they only allow 1 person to live in it if you want to get the 1 bedroom price). Right on the bus line. Close enough to everything. I really liked the apartment. Now comes the bad part. Steve is such a horrible landlord. Trust me, you DO NOT want to deal with him. I called him on a Friday for a showing but he did not pick up the phone. So I was like, okay, I read the reviews on Google. This is normal for him. I will just wait. He returned my phone call a few hours later (yay! right?). I toured the apartment the next Tuesday and really like the amenities and location of that apartment and decided to put in an application the next day. I called him again telling him that I have my application ready (through voicemail of course because he did not pick up the phone yet again). He later returned my phone call and told me to send the application to an email address. I did so and got a reply from him that he has received my application. Then I waited and waited. Four days passed and did not get a single call or email from Steve. I decided to call him to see what is going on with my application. I called him over 20 times in three days. Not a single time did he pick up the phone. Left 4 voicemails, and sent him 3 emails for update. Nothing. It is like he died after receiving my application. At this stage I am fairly certain he denied my application. But isn't it the right thing to at least tell me that I have been denied? It is not like I forgot about the application. I freaking called more than 20 times to check on it. I have never experienced management so horrible that made me feeling outrageous. Mind you, I have rented for more than 6 years. No eviction, no late payment, no nothing. Credit score 750+. Gross income more than 3X the rent. Basically impeccable record, right? (okay, impeccable is maybe a little bit exaggerated, but my rental history is definitely in the top 20% for my age). The only thing that I can think of that could have resulted in my denied application is that I have a dog that is Emotional Support Animal (they do accept dogs though). I mentioned that in my application. If this is true, the manager not only is a horrible person to deal with but is also in violation of the Fair Housing Act. Though I am not going to outright accuse him of doing so. But beware, having an ESA might result in a denied application at this place. So, renters. Avoid this place at all cost for its s***ty management no matter how good the apartment seems to be."
"Hi I got the same problem. I and my friend have called many times and left voicemail, but no response. We even stopped by there , if we can find some body but we were not able to find any office in the fish hatchery building. It seems nice and clean place with reasonable price, if you can get a hold on the manager. I would give the place 4 star but their customer services below zero. Tell me if some body get a hold on them."
"Good luck getting ahold of management. I called at least once the last three days. Just yesterday I called three separate times. Trying to get ahold of them. I even left a voicemail with my name, number, and reason for calling. My fiancée and I are looking for a new apartment to call for for a few years or more. We have been looking everywhere and this location is near where we work. So win win right? Not so much. I called at 11:40 AM and no answer. So of course I was like okay they are out for lunch or something fine. I also called at 1:30 PM the same day. Except I was sent to voicemail after one ring. I called again a minute later to see if it was my phone but the same thing happened again. One ring and a voicemail. I just want to be able to talk to the guy running the place. Is that too much to ask? For now I would give it 0 stars if I could. Also this seems to be the first review for Arboretum Edge Apartments. Not sure if that is concerning or not. Other than that it looks, from the pictures, like a decent place to live. I don't want to hurt a business for something as petty as not answering a phone, but a call back would be nice."
