Not to be confused with the imposter run down, slum Lord owned Shady lawn apartments on 60th street, which are located between the gas station & the nursing/assisted living home on 60th street. Working on getting their buildings photos removed from Google.~ This location once a nursing home turned into large apartments with business office suites located on the first floor. The Montessori School, the Seniors Foundation, and a book bindery are all houses within the building, along with many family sized apartments on three floors. There's a big fenced in yard with a sandbox and play area for the children, and a large shared (with the Methodist Church next door) parking lot located on the Sheridan Rd side of the property. The owners & landlords, and their property manager of Shady Lawn, are wonderful friendly people, and one would not be regretful after moving here or working with them."

"As I pack up our home after almost three years of being at Shady Lawn Apartments, I am full of so many emotions; while grateful to be buying a house, my family and I have loved our experience here and leaving is bittersweet. The apartments are unique and all a little different, but ours is a spacious (2,000+ square feet) beautiful ranch style 3 bedroom. As a mother of four children, I have spent a lot of time making this apartment into a home but in the process was also part of a larger community with the fellow tenants at Shady Lawn. The landlord and his wife are two of the kindest people I have met. They graciously take care of their tenants and are generally just really fun and yet professional people. We will miss them dearly. The only downfall to these apartments is their availability. Since the character and layouts of the apartments are so great, they usually fill before a vacancy is advertised. If you are given the opportunity to stay here, I'd take advantage of it quickly!"
