"Cardinal Capital and the Milwaukee Housing Authority have done a lot to this building in 2013. There is now an elevator in the building, central cooling, microwaves and tiled flooring. I lived here from 2013 to 2016 and experienced these changes. The building went from catering the general populous to now almost exclusively dealing with people with severe and chronic mental health issues. It is a supportive apartment. No age restrictions. There is peer support and a supervisor that work for OurSpace. Half of the apartments are rent-controlled, the other half aren't. I made a lot of friends from this building. It's also in a prime location. The majority of the apartments are spacious for being studios. If you are mentally ill and need more care than a traditional apartment, I'd look into this apartment building."
