Residence Inn by Marriott Milwaukee Downtown 648 North Plankinton Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53203

"Spacious rooms, with the amenities you'd need for an extended stay. I.e Full fridge, two stove tops. The beds are on the little bit too soft side. (Preference for firmer bed.) And the pillows probably haven't been replaced in years. They aren't soft or firm. They are flat and mushy. The wifi is almost non existent. Connectivity is rough. Services in the hotel are solid. I.e gyms/laundry/breakfast. The location gets 3 stars because of its relative location to decent food, bars, markets and even music venues. But it stops there, during the night, its not a place you'd want to walk around solo. Parking is horrendous."

"The photos of this hotel present it in its best light and are not recent or completely realistic. There is some historic character; the rehab of an old department store was nice but not fancy...typical of an older Residence Inn and not their newest options. It's clean, but not spotless. Location is along the Riverwalk on the edge of Downtown, which is good and generally safe but be careful. Hotel parking is $20 but there are cheaper garages and lots nearby if you use SpotHero. Breakfast is included but find someplace else as it's watery reconstituted eggs, dried "sausage" patties, and unfrozen hotel potatoes. The best thing is toasted English muffin with peanut butter..."

"Updated rooms with super high-ceilings and USB charging ports. Located along the river walk, this location puts you in the center of town and a short walk to some great dining options. The American Society of Quality (ASQ) also has space in this building, so you know it's up to standards :)"

"Quite a disappointment. We booked a room with our dogs and the hotel has zero accomodations for dogs. No green space. No features. It's not meant for dogs. And the room had a clogged toilet, poor service and uncomfortable beds. If it wasn't for points, we wouldn't stay here ever again. Avoid it and find another property nearby."

"I stayed at the residence in back in August for a wedding and I decided to lay on the bed (on top of the comforter) . The bed was made (sloppily) but I laid there for about 10 minutes until I noticed my clothes were wet!! I pulled back the sheets and there was a giant wet spot that they just made the bed over. Disgusting. The room was also filthy besides that…they came and changed the mattress and the wet spot had seeped through all the way to the bed skirt..I will NEVER stay here again. This was the grossest experience I have ever had."
