"In the last year, the company switched managers from a couple of sweet older ladies to a new couple who were first-time landlords, and I have been a tenant of both. It is very clear with the management change that the quality of management has gone down quite a bit. You can definitely tell the new managers are new to the scene. They started out great, polite, responsive, and helpful, and over time became rude and poor at responding to communication or hard to contact in the first place (I dealt with Jaclyn). Repeated maintenance requests had to be put in for the exact same ongoing issues with an appliance, and at one point they were going to outright refuse to fix the appliance that they provided. It took them several weeks and several reminders to handle issues, maintenance requests, or make updates to documents. It seemed like they forgot to contract snow removal until partway into the winter, and then whoever they did hire to do the job was consistently late to remove, did a poor job, and didn't salt or sand (snow removal was included in the lease - not entirely their fault but several tenants made complaints about the contracted snow removal company and nothing changed). They keep strict lease rules for some tenants and allow others to do whatever they want (yard rules, number of pets, number of long-term guests, etc), so it's not very consistent. From what I've heard regarding move out and their lack of reasonableness or understanding with damage, I am almost certain that despite living in the house for 5+ years and there being not much damage aside from standard 5 year old house wear and tear, we likely won't get any of our deposit back. Here's to hoping that they improve as they gain experience, otherwise, I would recommend you look elsewhere."
"Great management! They communicate very well and make the rules and regulations very clear. Easy to work with! It’s obvious that the bad reviews this place gets is clearly on the tenants behalf. It’s pathetic how some people live/behave. Would highly recommend!"
"Stay far away from this company if you want to be treated like a human being. Currently on Yelp, they maintain a ONE star rating and I can attest to support that ranking. They "manage" our funding for our association (condo monthly) fee, and today I finally understood why EVERYONE reports that the girl in the office is exceedingly rude. She came over with a contractor to review and discuss the leaking of water in our basement. When I began explaining what the plumbers discovered, she cut me off, told me to NOT talk about the plumbers and ONLY discuss what SHE told me to, similar to a dictator. We own this house and have never been treated this way in our home. Then, she proceeded to ask me a question, I answered it and she rolled her eyes at me pertaining to my answer. I asked her: why are you asking me a question, if you plan to mock/roll her eyes with distain at my answer? I then decided I needed my cell phone and ran upstairs to get it. The contractor advised her that he did not want any toxicity in the environment, and asked her to please go sit in the truck. While she was leaving, she decided to mark her exit by slamming our door so loud it vibrated the house and scared our dogs. The rest of the time with the contractor was informative and valuable. False advertising can be classified as deceptive if the advertiser deliberately misleads the consumer, rather than making an unintentional mistake. They intentionally have on their website: "As a customer, you will be more than satisfied with the cleanliness of each unit in addition to our service, follow-up, professional month-end closing statements, and ongoing ability to listen to any concerns or questions." Our lawyer (in Minneapolis) is already involved due to the duration of the neglect of this water situation, and we will add our experience today by notifying them. If this woman plans to return to our house at any time to further her destruction of our property, the police will be called."
"Horrible management, they will ignore your emails, ignore your calls, only open from 9-3 Mondays-Wednesdays... and even then they're never in the office. Being a full time worker and/or student it's impossible to get anything done with these people. The only way to get their attention is to stop paying... but even then they're still entirely uncooperative and unprofessional. They promised snow and ice removal of the parking lot... I saw them do it twice but they never put salt for the ice down. Blamed us for property damage that we told them about when we first moved in. Just a deceitful and rude group. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!"
"I DO NOT recommend. Sunny Daze subleased mine & my boyfriends apartment without telling us (giving them a key to my apartment and still collecting my rent for that month) and was very rude (I spoke with Jaclyn Wilsey) when I tried to communicate with them about these problems (along with a handful of other problems). After being denied a refund for a week and an attorney was brought into the conversation, Jaclyn finally issued a refund for my rent that I was paying for my apartment while someone else lived in it. As for the list of other problems I had with Sunny Daze: -I never filled out a check-out form because I knew we'd use the apartment occasionally while we were still paying rent for it, so Jaclyn checked us out without our knowledge (I was waiting until a sublet was found to fill out the check-out form) -Sunny Daze gave a stranger access to my apartment by giving this person a key (like I said, we were still going to use the apartment off and on while still paying for it, so I could have been in there while a stranger was given a key to my place) -Sunny Daze was allowing someone else to live in my apartment off of my rent -Jaclyn did not allow us to do a final walk-through to see the damages she claimed we caused (she stated that we did not deserve any of our $750 security deposit back because of cleaning and painting that needed to be done) -Landlords are required to give tenants a 12 hour notice of entering the apartment, which they entered on multiple occasions to "clean and paint" and do showings (I never got a single notice) Please be careful with this business, especially if you're looking to sublease your apartment."
