Hampton Inn & Suites Menomonie 2017 Stout Street, Menomonie, WI 54751

"We stayed here on 02/16. I had booked and checked in online. When we arrived we were a little early so I asked if we could check in early. Clerk said room I selected online on 2nd Floor wasn’t ready but he could move me into a similar one now. A few minutes later I had keys to a room on 4th Floor. I went out to car to let family know, and my wife ran inside by herself because it was cold. When we got in elevator to go to room my wife showed me clerk gave her 2 keys for a room on 2nd floor. I returned to front desk and asked clerk who said my wife gave someone else’s name (what?!) so he gave her keys for that room. He said hers were wrong and mine were right. We went to 4th Floor and got to room which appeared different than the one I booked. We started to unpack when front desk called and told us they screwed up and would be right up. The clerk came to room and said there were two guests with similar name and he gave me keys to wrong room and we had to go back to 2nd floor room. He said he would discount for mistake. We went to room and went about our day as we had a funeral to get ready for. Next day when we checked out I asked for bill just to make sure it all looked right which it did. I grabbed business card for manager from desk just in case. A few days later we noticed we had a pending charge on our card for much higher than I booked room for. I assumed they mistakenly put my card on room they mistakenly put me in. I emailed manager (from her own business card) and days later had no response. I sent another follow up email and had no response. I called hotel and was told manager didn’t use that email address and gave me another email address. I was told she was very busy on this day but would get back to me the next day. It’s been 5 more days and no response. The pending up-charge disappeared, but never saw said discount for the mistake. Overall just disappointed in the lack of customer service, so I’m moving on and just leaving this review instead. Update 03.13.24: I received a response e-mail from Hilton which was so filled with inaccurate information that I'm not sure if the manager was lying or some customer service rep not associated with the actual hotel just read some notes in the booking and made up their own story. I responded to that and made sure to correct the misunderstandings on their end. They have since just responded and said my card should have been refunded, which it has not. I was also told I spoke with the manager in person and she left me a voicemail (both of which haven't happened)."

"My only complaint is the pillows. I know kind of being picky but that was the only thing. Otherwise Great place to stay. Clean, comfortable, plenty of parking. Pool, free breakfast, cookies! Yeah they put out cookies for you to enjoy and also free bottles of water. Several other UW Stout Blue Devil fans and even a couple of workers. Game Day stay here!"

"We went up to Menomonie for a funeral. ALL the ladies who worked there were absolutely AMAZING, NICE ,HELPFULL, I can't say enough about them. The food selection was great! It was clean. They offered free water which was helpful since we didn't bring any. They even had cookies for an afternoon treat! My mother & I are handicapped & they offered extra help also. Stayed an extra night too. I didn't want to leave. Again I can't say enough about the ladies who work there. Front desk, manager, breakfast cooks & house keeping!!"

"This is the only place to stay when traveling to Menomonie! The staff is very welcoming and friendly. They will go out of their way to make you happy. This is a new hotel, I think about 4 years. Everything is still fresh and nice. I have stayed here 4 times now and it is always very clean."

"This location has the best ADA rooms of any motel that we have stayed in ever. The double queen room was very spacious and the hand holds in the bathroom were numerous and well placed. Breakfast was good and the dark coffee was delicious. All spaces were clean. This location appears to be new and well maintained. I would stay here again."
