"Woodland Pointe is a great place to live! Property Management are awesome and they work hard to fix any issues you may have. They are respectful and very responsive! Thank you to the staff and maintenance team!"
"The management here is a joke. Talking trash about tenants after they have serious problems, up charging every possible thing they can, adding arbitrary fees to your account making, your rent, your utilities, and if you get towed you’d better have a couple extra hundred on you. Many tenants in my building have moved out, new ones in only to move out again some months later, and I can only guess as to the reasons why. The construction workers they hired to add washing/drying machine outlets to our apartments had no care for our belongings and if you weren’t present for when they were there, they made a mess and touched your things, also abusing the thermostat and leaving it running without turning it off or telling you about it. My roommates sinuses and lungs were heavily affected by the amount of construction going on, causing him to lose his job entirely, another tenant he worked with had their ceiling come down on them, a lot of break ins to cars, theft of delivered food or mailed belongings, and zero care for anyone’s personal belongings. The place is a mess of corruption. After two years of living here, I will not be renewing my lease. Avoid this place. There is better out there"
"I too hate to leave a negative review but I can't handle how Woodland Pointe has absolutely no care or regard for their tenants. There have been two major ongoing construction projects. The first was a siding project. There was no notice given for when they would start so on the first day of the project when I came out to the living room nearly nude a random siding guy was on out porch and saw me. The neighbors below were given no notice and their cute lawn decorations were completely dumped on with siding debris. The current project is a plumbing project which requires the workers to come in and out of the units with no notice on a daily basis for 30 days. We have a dog and a cat and have to lock them up in a room every day when we go to work. On top of this we have to completely empty the areas they are working on including: the entire pantry, under the sinks and my bedroom closet. Which leaves the unit looking like a weird sort of half lived in liminal space. We have literally no storage. It's like the space I am paying to live in I cannot properly live in. The siders also covered the exhaust vent of the dryer with their siding which was a really great discovery to make. Another issue we had this last winter was when it snowed the plows would pack their snow in front of my partners garage unit. This was not remedied for 3-4 days and he could not go to work. We did get some assistance with this the second time it happened. They also just raised the rent and just now started charging $35 a month for a garage. They say its to make improvements for tenants but really its making improvements for the futures tenants who will be able to afford the higher rent. Trying to get any understanding from the office folks is like pulling teeth. Some of them are generally nice and friendly others have been downright rude and really its not even their fault. The only real positive thing about this place is the neighbors. We have really kind neighbors and everyone is generally very respectful about noise and parties/small gatherings. Too bad Woodland is going to price out a good deal of these folks."
"I really hate to leave such a negative review but the past year living here has been such a nightmare. We've had 2 major construction jobs in the past year and it has been beyond inconvenient. This current construction that has been going on for almost 3 weeks was the last straw. I've been given little notice on what will be done and on a daily basis from 9am-4pm have had constant work being done. My power was even shut off for a few hours without any heads up. The way this new project is being handled without consideration of the tenants is absolutely pathetic. I can't even access half of my stuff or provide a proper living environment for my family because we were required to have our rooms cleared and at a point had to live with no ceilings in the bathroom and pantry. I don't place any blame on the people completing this project but on the lack of communication from the management. Last project was in December and I was told it was going to be completed within 2-3 weeks and it ended up going on for over 2 months. I understand some of it was due to the weather but there should of been some sort of update. I hope in the future after the updates this place improves for the sake of the other tenants but I'm done and can't wait to move."
"Do not live here. If you can find another place, please go there. First of all, the towing company is rude and will tow your car for no reason. It costs $360 to get your car out. They also damage your car while towing it. The plumbing is awful and the place is filled with mold. The apartments in the back are on marsh land and the foundation is sinking into the ground. The grounds are very filthy and the trash areas are always filled with garbage and old furniture for months before management does anything about it. Management is not good. They don’t take responsibility for anything. Staff is rude and the workers don’t acknowledge people or say hi to you when they are working. The complex is crime ridden and the police are here multiple times a week. They over charge for apartments and will rent to virtually anyone. This is not a place to raise a family . I do not suggest you move here under any circumstances. UPDATE: We finally broke our lease and just left. They did a month-long construction job to benefit their corporation with no care for the tenants at all. They did new plumbing to add washers & dryers to the units and took away 80% of our apartments. We later found out these washers & dryers won’t even be installed for at least 2 yrs. They didn’t care if tenants were disabled or had health issues; they expected us to live in our apartments while they removed black mold & asbestos. They didn’t give us any discounts on rent or help people relocate for the month. Yes! $1400 a month while taking 80% of our living space, no clubhouse, no swimming pool, and no amenities; that includes the washers & dryers that are always broken for weeks at a time. They offered a few tenants a small amount of money that barely covered a hotel for a week. They only gave us 12 days notice before doing this. They gave all of our parking to the construction crew, so there wasn’t even any parking! There is a picture of our bathroom ceiling that was falling down for 5 yrs. Adding pictures of what our apartment looked like before and during this construction. Their staff also walked into our apartment without notice or knocking multiple times. Hannah & Emily - two of the staff members are rude & act annoyed when you ask them for anything. Emily had zero emotion about complaints I made about the crime & lack of safety saying “there’s crime everywhere” — although Woodland Pointe is the most crime ridden complex in Woodbury! Hannah entered our temporary unit while we were nude in the living room without knocking to show perspective tenants the apartment! The temporary apartment they gave us reeked of cat pee, cigarettes, and marijuana. The entire 6908 building reeks of animal urine! This place is disgusting & the staff only defends their ineptitude. This entire complex is a cash grab so they can exploit poor & disabled people that can’t find other places to live. They are now charging for their dilapidated garage spaces that are so narrow you can’t even get out of your car once you’re in! To be fair—Nina, the manager, tried to meet us halfway on many things, but between her inexperienced & terrible staff and the greedy corporation that owns this place, she fell short on a lot of promises. My heart is broken because this was our home for almost a decade until Centerspace decided to siphon all the money they could from the tenants without giving us much in return. Our new complex is not only cheaper, it has a theater room, full exercise room, a playroom, heated garage, on-site storage, balconies that aren’t rickety & falling apart, a pool, walking paths, security cameras, and majorly secured entrances. Woodland Pointe ought to be ashamed when their competitors are giving so much for the same price or less! We now pay $100 less a month for all these amenities! I was shocked when the staff treated us with respect & enthusiasm instead of acting like we were a bother. Maintenance requests are filled immediately. The staff speaks & knows our names already! They also have ample parking and don’t tow your cars & provide 24-hr parking for guests!"
