"I must say that this is my first really bad experience with Fortrea (formerly Covance). But a bad enough experience to warrant a 1 star. I live 3.75 hours away from the clinic, and with Chicago traffic and tolls, it isn’t a nice pleasant cruise. I screened for a study which I was accepted into the day after Presidents Day. Scheduled to arrive at 6:30am central time. Michelle in the screening department called the Friday before at 4:04 pm (3:04 central) and left a message simply stating to call them back. I called back to the number she said to call. I called back 12 minutes later only to get the Fortrea voice mail. I left a message asking what they needed. No call back from Michelle. No call back on President’s day (Monday). I assumed since a lot places are closed, Fortreas phone call must not be urgent. Backing up a bit… they called a couple other times simply to update my file. This time I thought it was probably just a friendly reminder of my check in time and to remind me to fast, etc,etc because all clinics call a couple days to remind us of these things. I showed up like I was supposed to find out upon arrival the study date was cancelled/postponed. I spoke with this Michelle creature face to masked face. I let them listen to the uniforming voice mail and asked why they didn’t just say it was cancelled at that time. They said they didn’t get my message but I have proof I called. The worst part aside from wasting my time back and forth on two trips and being out of 300. and 16 hours of my time which they refused to compensate any of it even though it was their error (at my expense). She didn’t apologize. I asked if she even felt bad.. She admitted she did. The only thing she apologized flippantly about was “I’m sorry, we don’t compensate for that”. I wish I would’ve video taped it!"

"This place is an absolute $#¡¥ show. They need to work on communication skills. They beg people to come screen, even though they do NOT pay a dime for any travel related expenses, and it can be very expensive when you pay for gas and hotel. then when you get there, you go through the process and they say DONT CALL US… WE WILL CALL YOU, About a week before check in. Two days before check in… still no call. I call them… they cancelled the study. REALLY?!?! And when were they planning on telling all the people who were waiting on calls because they travel from 3 states away and need to make plans? NEVER! Another time, they let the people all show up for check in… and sent them home because the Dallas location was doing the same study and they didn’t need them anymore! The people were so mad. I don’t blame them. POOR POOR POOR communication and it’s just WRONG to do that to people. Never ever refer anyone to this place. They don’t deserve our time because they don’t respect us as human beings. Evidently our time isn’t valuable. All I ask is better communication. It’s not hard and it’s NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK! Beware of this place."

"Your Dallas clinic sucks ban all Fortrea clinics treat Fortrea like BUD LIGHT until they change their ways shut them down. They don't go off your screening # anymore it's, best labs. They won't call you so your waiting 3 to 4 weeks for a phone call that never comes also they don't care about your safety or they would use VCT/Verified Clinical Trials and test urine with a ADULTERER to test for fake URINE. They would do these 2 cheap and simple things if they cared about you, your health and safety. All management and employees should be fired. No wonder the stock is falling will be taking this matter up with the state legislation and the board of Fortrea."
