"We had this company come out to move a heavy piece of furniture from our attached garage to our basement. They showed up on time and the quote we received was reasonable. I questioned whether the service included insurance when I called for the appointment, and I was told yes. We paid up front on our credit card. When the team came, they presented my husband with an invoice, which had an additional fee of $100 per truckload for insurance. The mover stated that we owed this money for the insurance. It was not presented to him that this was an option, above and beyond the insurance mentioned to me when I made the appointment, which was already included in the hourly rate. Not fully understanding, my husband paid the mover $100 cash. The move went on without a hitch. When I saw the invoice we received by email, I asked my husband about it. He said he was told he owed the extra $100, which he paid. I called the office to discuss, but the manager was not available. Once we did connect, the manager stated that because my husband signed the contract and gave the mover the extra $100, there was nothing he could, or would, do. I explained to the manager that my husband was 78 and that he did not understand, nor was it presented to him, that this extra $100 was an option. He was lead to believe that this extra $100 was mandatory. The manager asked if my husband was competent to sign contracts, and I said yes, which he is. However, that doesn’t mean that someone should push someone for extra money, without telling them that this is an option. We feel like we were strong armed! Not a good way to do business, especially with seniors. BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS!!"

"I turned to Two Men and a Truck in Racine WI to receive a semi-truck delivery of my kitchen cabinet order. They were very helpful to set this up at my first phone conversation. The order arrived a day early. They checked it in and notified me immediately. The team of 4 arrived at my house on the arranged delivery time and carefully placed items as requested. "I used Two men and a truck recently for their junk removal and my move. The person I spoke with on the phone was very professional and answered all my questions. The junk removal team called me before they showed up and they came in between the time range I was given for the start. There was one snag with the junk removal because the delivery people who set up the bed screwed the headboard on too tight and neither could get the frame off and I thought I was going to have to junk that too, but they were able to snap the screws off without damaging the headboard! Then Mike and Ray showed up for my move the following week. Again I got a call before the move to make sure I was all set and again from Mike when he was on his way. Both were very professional and respectful. They really did treat me like I was their "grandma" or "mom". All my furniture was arranged how I wanted it a little bit away from the wall and they set things up so I would have easy access to my outlets!! That was huge for me since I did not always have this in my last place. I've used Two Men in a Truck many years ago and had the same great experience which is why I used them for this move. I love that they are responsive to their customers by adding this junk service and give you tips for a successful move. When the move was almost done, Austin came on the scene to check in and even came in to help with bringing in the headboard and moving the bed so it would fit since the delivery of my mattress and frame set it up too close to the wall. I will forewarn you that they do like to add a valuation fee to their moving, but it's real easy to get it removed on the day of the move and even if you run into a snag like I did where the office processes the payment, it just took a quick call to have that removed and they email receipts and documents so I was rest assured I got charged appropriately and everything was done quicker than what I was quoted so that was awesome for the move. The junkers quote when onsite and I was able to give the thumbs up or down, but thought it was reasonable to not have to deal with a large truck worth of stuff to get rid of which included funiture and electronics."
