Rio Plaza Elementary School

Rio Plaza Elementary School is the oldest school in the district, located at 600 Simon Way in Oxnard, California, United States. With a rich history of 60 years, we have been at the forefront of elementary education, offering top academic programs such as Headstart classrooms and all day Kindergarten. Our school provides after-school programs in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme. Our classrooms are equipped with 21st Century technology, allowing students and teachers to access the World Wide Web, collaborate with technology tools, and create quality presentations. We have a strong Accelerated Reader program and a well-stocked library with a wide range of book titles. Parents are encouraged to get involved in various committees and events, such as the School Site Council, PTA, and English classes for Parents provided by Laubach Literacy. Our goal is to nurture and cultivate each student's potential, preparing them to thrive as bilingual, bi-literate, and cross-cultural learners.
