"This was the worst visit I have ever had. I cannot believe there is a provider like this at uwhealth. I went to discuss concerns about irregular periods and scheduled an appointment based on GHC triage nurse’s suggestion. Julie Shapiro was upset and unkind, complaining about the appointment being last minute, scheduled as a follow up appointment, honing in to wire the predictions into me that I will not be able to conceive, saying “they are not gonna have it (a kid),” “ I know you have GHC but you came to me!,” “go back and read what Cooney said,” “I am not gonna do it; you can not be conceived,” “maybe you are gonna get it (period) back,” “you are not gonna get it (period), “they are doing something,” etc. I am extremely disappointed and want to report to the manager or board. I was late due to traffic but called the clinic if it is still ok to go and they said yes. She was very upset and angry looking very upset about face mask mandate. I am getting sick from this visit. I only found out that she was a nurse practitioner, not a doctor. I don’t want to spend time writing this negative view, but she needs more training or something needs to be done."

"As always, I had a positive visit with the doctors, physician’s assistants, nurses, med techs, and administrative clinic staff in the Internal Medicine Clinic at UW Medical, 20 South Park St., Madison. I tripped on a trash can lid someone left on a public sidewalk yesterday and landed on my hands and knees and fit my forehead. My call to the off hours phone line, my phone discussion with the triage nurse, my being able to secure an appointment this afternoon by a call this morning, my visit with medical staff, an X-ray, a diagnosis of a small non-displaced fracture in one finger, the PA’s phone consult with orthopedics, buddy taping the finger, and a referral to the hand orthopedics folks to schedule a follow up - everything was handled smoothly, efficiently, and with a warm professional manner. They have a great team going here - keep up the good work!"

Recommend that student asks about patient comfort during the procedure. Results posted in My Chart within hours which was very nice. I’d use this facility again."
