About the Business
Edward Kemble Elementary School, located at 7495 29th Street in Sacramento, California, is a primary school within the Sacramento City Unified School District. Our school is dedicated to building scholars with positive character traits and social-emotional learning competencies. We offer a unique Dual Language Spanish Immersion Program, where students have the opportunity to become bilingual and bi-literate in both English and Spanish from kindergarten through the 3rd grade and beyond.
At Edward Kemble Elementary, our staff members prioritize building strong relationships with students and their families through programs such as the Parent-Teacher Home Visit Program and Family-Teacher Academic Team meetings. We provide academic support through technology-based intervention programs, before-/after-school tutoring, and Saturday Academy.
Parents are encouraged to participate in various committees and organizations, such as the School Site Council, English Learner Advisory Committee, and Parent-Teacher Organization, to provide input on strengthening our school programs. Our district is committed to providing opportunities for students to expand their linguistic skills to meet the demands of our global society.
The Dual Language Immersion Program at Edward Kemble Elementary is based on a two-way immersion educational model, where students aim to speak, read, and write fluently in both English and Spanish. Students in the program have access to the same academic core curriculum as those in English-only settings, with the added benefit of second language instruction.
Enrique Flores, Instructional Assistant Superintendent, and the dedicated staff at Edward Kemble Elementary are proud to offer a unique and enriching educational experience for our students. Visit us to learn more about our programs and how we are shaping the future leaders of tomorrow.

"I love this school but the Saturday teacher 1/18/20 was soo rude and had an attitude because she was late and we were waiting for her outside the door and she just said im not ready but come in , in such a rude way. If she’s so negative and rude I wonder how she treats the little First Graders that were in the room. Not pleased."
