"Stayed here for a training this weekend. Service and location was great. I just had more problems with the room. The temperature control system really just wasn’t working. It didn’t necessarily allow me to control the temperature in the room. I get pretty warm when I sleep and just had no luck with getting the temperature to a comfortable temp. I’m also used to sleeping with fan noise since I sleep with the fan on. I had trouble sleeping both nights because I couldn’t regulate the temperature."

"I had placed a reservation through a third party app. set the dates, even double and triple checked them. Yet for some reason it still said I was staying this weekend! Tried to talk to the company I booked with and they said I would have to talk to the hotel. So I called the hotel and after getting hung up on the first time I had gotten through. The manager was in a meeting so I had to talk with a front desk person. I had explained the situation and I got no help whatsoever. I told them that either their system made the error or the system of the third party made the error. I was not EVER trying to get a refund, just trying to simply switch the dates. The guy told me no and that I can stay this weekend or lose my money. After I had said to my fiancé about it the guy proceeded to hang up on me. I will not ever book here again and I will be telling my friends and family to never stay here. Absolutely ridiculous! Horrible customer service!!!! I will find a different hotel that is understanding when their system screws up a customer’s check in dates instead of stealing their money. I also called 5 minutes after I made the reservation because I saw the mistake on the confirmation email. Over $100 down the drain to a greedy company! How disgusting."

"The rooms were nice and clean, and location is decent. The staff were very unhelpful, and one woman was very rude. Parking is a nightmare. When booking the hotel, they charged us $25 for parking. We got there, and I was told to park in the building around back. Got my ticket and parked and then the desk person said it was $23 in the morning to leave or $25 for a pass to come and go from the parking garage. Come time to leave, ticket didn’t work so I went in to ask the woman at the front desk about parking, and she told us that parking back there had nothing to do with them (the sign on parking garage even said “Hotel Parking Level 3 and Above”). She then told us there was another fee, and when I asked why we had to pay for parking when we booked the room, pay for a night spot, and pay to get the car out she replied “well it’s $75 in Chicago!” in a nasty tone and dismissed us. Very unhelpful and cost us lots in random fees as what we were told for parking changed multiple times."

"I have never felt like I am working with a more incompetent staff than working with the Tru by Hilton in Milwaukee Downtown team. My now husband and I had been planning our wedding in Milwaukee and had a bunch of guests coming up from Chicago/out of town. We chose the Hilton because it seemed an affordable hotel with a great location. Additionally, we know many people are loyal to the Hilton brand and had points that they could use for lodging. The team we interacted with was terrible. We started by talking to a team member named Maggie, who was in charge of the sales department. Maggie told us that Hilton does not assign blocks of room and instead could just give us an activation code that would give an 8 to 10% discount, which we found out later that that was a lie. The Hilton did have the ability to do a block, Maggie for some reason did not want to tell us that. After deciding that this hotel was going to be one of our hotels for guests, we placed the link/code in our wedding website and then went on to planning other parts of the wedding. Then, we didn’t hear from them for months. We reached out to Maggie’s email multiple times, called the desk at the hotel, and finally learned that Maggie had left the team. The position was now taken over by someone new named Brad. We asked multiple times for Brad to email us so that we could talk about our current guest list. Yet, we did not receive any calls or emails from this Brad; instead, every time we called they would put us through to Lloyd, the general manager. Lloyd eventually sent us an email saying he had our current guest list under our wedding, only to find in the email a list of reservations for people we did not know. The Tru by Hilton link never worked to get people listed as who was staying under our wedding, and did not even give them the discount promised to us. Finally, we had to go name by name of reservations with Lloyd to even know some of the guest names. Ultimately we did not know the exact number of guests at the hotel to plan for shuttle services, we had to email/text guests individually. This team was completely unprofessional, we were lied to by Maggie, we never were contacted by her replacement, and the management staff seemed to not know how to interact with customers. The only bright spot was the front desk at the Hilton."

"This is my go to hotel when I'm in Milwaukee for work. It's almost new, so the rooms are in great condition, fabulous showers, lovely breakfast. It's dog friendly, so I can bring my pooch and has an AMAZING coworking lobby downstairs that's almost always empty. Fabulous location, and terrific price. Will stay here again."
