Occidental Apartments

"I miss Kathie! While the place is old and maintenance has always been sub-par (it’s actually is a cute place.....if it had ever been maintained well over the years), at least she helped to make it feel like a community. Which brings me to complaint #1, maintenance. Ever seen Big Daddy, with Adam Sandler? Know how he initially just covers up the kid’s messes with newspaper instead of actually cleaning it? That perfectly describes maintenance here. Secondly, the new property manager is, well, very cold and not very nice. I understand it’s a business, but when you threaten me with my car being towed because of my expired tags (never got them, was waiting on replacements), ONE month after they expired, and start off the email with “As per our conversation”, and mention the date, the same date as the email, and as someone I’ve literally spoken to, yeah no. I completely understand if that’s part of my lease, but damn, you can nicely ask me what’s going on with my tags. There are other more minor issues, but these are the big ones for me. I cannot WAIT TO joyfully check the box saying “No, I am not renewing”.....I can barely contain myself from doing a dance of glee!"

""Cheap. Safe. And good enough to stay in for a short period of time." Was my initial review of this apartment complex, however, since I've moved in the apartment manager has changed. The new apartment manager (Angelia) is never on site. How can you test this theory? Attempt to call the number. No one will ever pick up. The only way i can communicate with her is through email, and she only responds when she feels like it. I waited 6 weeks for a new key to be made. To this day (3 months) I've never met her once. It's a shame Kathie Spratt left. I don't recommend staying in this complex, you will not be taken care of. The way they take care of the premesis is a perfect reflection. See uploaded picture."
