Providence Place Apartments

"I have been here a little over 6 years. All these reviews are very interesting. I am pleased that my rent is 500.00 less than the current market rate. The community is NOT what the previous owners tolerated. Security is very responsive and I feel safe here. Are the apartments perfect? No but they are clean, livable and in this current market affordable,. The office is slow to return calls but come on, show a little compassion for the fact that this is a huge complex and we all have needs. Food Bank and free childcare programs on site as well. Walking club on Tuesdays and all in all, its decent. They spray every unit quarterly and if residents would clean up after themselves we wouldn't have these issues at all. The re certify process is another story lol but it gets done so I am grateful. Sadly since I posted this we have had a change in processes here which means the apartment/leasing office is open by appointment only making it difficult to get receipts or timely service of matters that should be routine but it is what it is. Still a decent value."

"Apartments are horrible, carpet has bugs …they should replace it. my carpet smelled like animal urine ! everything is so tacky- from the kitchen drawers.. the countertops, the caulk around the tub , the paint in the bathrooms, sloppy ! they don’t fix anything from prior tenants but keep their deposit if something was damaged ..doesn’t make sense. The owners complain about your patio area but the inside of their buildings look 100x worse. Slumlords ! Why is it soo much to ask for new or at least clean carpet? Rent shouldn’t be more than 950. I just want to live somewhere roach free. This is not a place to raise a child."

"They have a tenant parking issue. You should be allowed to register up to 2 cars per family. Cars not working should be towed. Screen low income tenants better, so you have no issues. We're not told the building had Roaches until they we're seen and they had to spray. Carpets are outdated and dirty. Apartment wasn't ready for move in on day of move-in. Still needed some repairs that are not done to this day."

"This has to be the worst place in the world to live! My 19 yr old was moving out for the first time so of course we need to find something she can afford with her income. Well most of the apartments were full and I wanted her to be somewhat close to where I live and these were the only ones available. Well she lived there a total of 5 months and was able to break her lease due to all of the harassment from the filth that lives there. This complex is not ran by management but instead by these young hoodlums and if you complain you are to blame! It is ridiculous! These ratchet homeless girls who are prostitutes with no where to live targeted my daughter and granddaughter because she was young and as soon as she left they would break in to her apartment and steal her clothes, shoes, makeup...etc. When we complained or called the police we were told we have no proof so they could not do anything! Oh and because we called the police over and over she then was harassed by everyone including adults! Where do these people come from? They threatened to fight me and my mom and the adults that live here are promoting all this. I could go on forever but I won't. I just want to make anyone else looking for something affordable please keep driving past this place! Oh and one other thing I have to mention the manager there is a joke, she is no help what so ever! She has the worst attitude ever, so please avoid getting on her bad side which is hard because you'll definitely want to tell her about how horrible of an attitude she has!"
