"I wanted to give a more recent review of my experience at Q19. I lived here for a year and I enjoyed my experience. I explored several other studio apartments in the area before moving here, and chose this one because it offered the fairest price for the most square footage of a studio apartment. The appliances within the apartment are very new. The flooring is nice. The security and AC units are top notch. Its nice that every unit at least has a Juliet balcony that opens all the way. This might be one of the best locations in midtown, it is far enough away that you don't have to deal with constant traffic but close enough that everything is walking distance, the sweet spot. Do not be alarmed about its proximity to the train track, you honestly can hardly hear it (double-paned windows) and will feel a little shake that's about it. The gym is small but it offers essentially everything you could really need. The building is incredibly well-ventilated and clean. The property management (Jennifer) is incredibly responsive, professional, and organized. Cannot emphasize that enough. Of course there are some negatives. The parking situation isn't the best, at one point it was incredibly difficult to find a spot late at night and no one really wants to park in the back lot, which is super tight. Its gotten better though. It's also not gated, but they do provide security patrol that is around pretty often. I believe they are looking to expand the lot in the near future which is a plus, but you also have the ability to park on the rail tracks for a little bit lower price through the city. The natural lighting in the units is great but it does feel dim at nights with only a few lights in the unit. One other negative is that there is a public trashcan in the lot which you find people going through often and creating a mess in the parking lot, but it gets cleaned up pretty quickly. But that is something you sort of expect to happen when you live in an urban area. Either way, I would still recommend this place to anyone who wants to live in a more modern upscale apartment in the area. It is worth the time to at least book a touring."
"The maintenance is absolutely ridiculous. Usually, there is a sign at the door stating that someone will be back in the office soon, they never do. The emergency number that supposed to be fixing the urgent problems, like no hot water for more than 12 hours, always goes to the answering machine, and no one ever responds."
"We have been living here for almost 6 months now. I would have loved it if someone actually left a comment here about the reality of Q19 lifestyle before we leased our unit. The management has changed since we have moved in but the problems have gotten even worse: _ There is a constant, loud, and annoying conditioning sound on some level 4 units. We all (affected units) have complained and unfortunately no solution has been offered so far !!! The noise is constant and nerve recking; - There is no shooting which we knew but what we did not know was the fact that the trash will not get picked up on Friday and Saturdays. You can take it downstairs yourself but the door is locked too. Hence, sometimes you could see trash pilling up in the entrance; - There are homeless people in the parking lot and trash room all the time. On weekends the front bar gets so busy and crazy, so many fights break outs; - There parking lot that you have to pay extra $200 on top of $3000+ rent to park in gets full on the weekend by people from the next door bar. Since there is no gate there is no way to keep them out. Have asked the management so many time to provide us with a number so we can at least get the un-licensed cars towed but so far nothing. on top of that finding a place to park your car outside is really challenging too; - The washing machine and dryer are just useless, we had ours repaired twice in last 6 months and still doesn't wash properly; - The window deigns are just stupid, if you open them up completely, there is no way for your hand and arm to reach out and close them up; _ There is only one elevator and the speed is just ridiculous; - The smart system is our unit has been disabled for weeks now, and have yet to get fixed. I can go on but for now I just wanted the next person who is trying to lease a unit here to have a bit better understanding of the life style Q19 offers."
"Staff are awesome, The spaces seem cozy. Just a really friendly atmosphere."
"I love that it has the right amenity package with pet spa, fitness center, bike room and it's only a few blocks from the hustle and bustle, grocery store, Truitt Bark Park."
