"Beware, When I was moving maintenance cleared out my storage unit and left their 5 gal bucket of paint in my then empty storage room. Maintenance told me they thought we had already moved and just left it so they emptied it and was going to start the painting for new tenants. Val told me that it didn't matter that their paint was left in my locked room, if I didn't have pictures to prove it was their maintenance man, then I couldn't prove it was them! She was amazing when we looked at the property and then turned to something I didn't recognize; insulting, rude and outright inappropriate with her comments! I could go on and on but too numerous to mention! Please beware, just talk to the residents!"
"My mom moved in here recently and so far everything is great. The pool and hot tub are great and always clean. The unit itself had all new appliances and cabinets and the ceiling fans are super nice. The AC unit is just a wall unit but does the job and has a remote which is nice. But with the fans you don’t need it much which is great. I found the apartment online and talked to someone and got the info and we decided to move forward with it. Which was super easy to apply for and got approved quickly. I drove down from Irvine and paid the move in fees before my mom came and had no issue and staff was friendly and attentive. The building itself is on the older side. But we have no issues. Elevators work and apartment is quiet (don’t hear neighbors). Laundry room works great also. Building has plenty of parking and the area is very walkable which is great. A ton of restaurants and fast food all within walking distance and two grocery stores right next door. My mom uses her cart and gets her stuff and never even needs to drive anywhere. Only utility she pays for is electric and rates are good and her bills are pretty low. We went with AT&T for internet after Cox failed and were not helpful. Her balcony is large and she likes to sit out there and watch the hummingbirds. I will note the kitchen is tiny. But for one person who doesn’t cook much it is fine. The oven is a half oven which is perfect for her and gives more counter space. Overall she loves the apartment and the area is so nice and clean so walkable. I am so glad we found this place. Also. One nice surprise when we moved in turns out you also get this large closet (located outside of the apartment) for storing stuff in. Which was such a nice bonus and my mom can keep her extra stuff out there which saved a lot of space in the unit."
"1:00 appt to view an apartment. Stood in an open lobby for over 1/2 hour. Many residents asked why I was there. They warned me about the woman who worked in the office. Even 1 elderly woman called her the C word. I laughed at that not realizing how truthful she was being. She eventually showed up and was extremely rude telling me I did not have an appt. It became an argument and I am glad I walked out. I would NEVER want any of my elderly relatives dealing with her. I feel bad for the current residents. She clearly has some issues. This was by far the most unprofessional office staffer I have ever had to deal with. Buyer beware."
"Valerie was amazing! She took the time to walk me through the complex on a hot and humid day and answered all of my questions. She was kind, thoughtful and compassionate. I haven't moved in yet but I'm looking forward to it and will update my review after I take possession. RA Snyder found a gem when they hired Valerie!!!!!"
"My husband and I chose Casa Escondida because they are handicap accessible. My husband has muscular dystrophy and he is wheelchair bound which makes finding an accessible apartment difficult. Casa Escondida is a quiet, clean property where the management team takes time for their residents. I love that they have a "team" of managers and maintenance personnel that are at the ready to answer any questions or concerns. Recently, the property has been going through some renovations which has enhanced its beauty. I really appreciate everyone at Casa Escondida!"
