"I'm going on my 4th year and I've had very few problems. No one or place is perfect. I read 1 review where someone was complaining about the managers husband. First of all he is not the manager, if you have questions ask Clair or Judy. Don't put him in a position of manager then complain about his answer. He works all around our complex keeping it maintained and it looks pretty good. Why so much Manager Clair bashing? She is a person in authority and has to make decisions that aren't always popular. She's Not the one who raises the rent the company she works for does. We have a lot of perks here other Apts. don't. I like it here and no I don't care for all my neighbors but I've learned tolerance. I'm a senior with a service animal and my only concern is no garbage disposal. Compared to the rest of our world aren't we spoiled,?"

"An updated review about how terrible this place is: We just moved out of our apartment. We hired cleaners per Claire’s request. We were just informed that upon cleaning the tub, the cleaners discovered black mold that was painted over with white paint. I can’t believe this establishment would cover this up. They are lucky that my partner and I didn’t have pre existing health conditions. Again, I strongly advise DO NOT LIVE HERE. Claire and her husband and pathological liars and extremely shady. Shady enough to paint over black mold and put us in danger for a year."

"Please read this carefully! Do NOT move here! My boyfriend and I moved into 442 unit 19 which is directly next to Claire's apartment. We have a dog who is a trained service animal and protected by the ADA. Claire seemed kind in the beginning, but that was short lived. Her constant harassment began we she complained to us that our dog was barking "all day" while my boyfriend and I were at work. The complaints got to be so frequent, that we decided to get a recording device to leave in our home while we were away. To our surprise, our dog only barked when someone was near the door. If he did bark, it was once or twice. When we confronted Claire, she backpedalled her remarks recognizing that we caught her in a lie. Little did we know we were going to catch her in SEVERAL lies. A few weeks later she complained about our dog playing with his ball. We were respectful and started to take his ball away at 9:00pm which is two hours earlier than the City of Oceanside's "quiet time". She still complained. The next complaint was about our TV volume. After 9:00pm our tv volume is between 8-10 notches, which is not loud at all. Claire asked us to buy headphones to watch TV in our own apartment. Claire damaged our property for the first time when my boyfriends car was parked in a vacant spot. The row that she lives on is THE ONLY ROW WITH "ASSIGNED" PARKING. The apartment next to us was vacant for weeks, so my boyfriend parked his car there instead of on the street. Claire warned him once not to park there. When he parked there again, he awoke to a bright orange sticker that took up half of his back windshield stating that he would be towed. He asked Claire about it, and she lied stating the towing company put the sticker on his car. But we called the towing company and they stated they never do this. They just tow cars. We found the stickers on Amazon. They are called "mess" stickers because they are so hard to get off. Things began to get serious a few months ago when the carports were being painted. My boyfriend and I kept our motorcycle covers neatly folded in the corner of our car port (our property). The morning that the carports were being painted, Claire was on a rampage. She was aggressively knocking on our neighbors doors and yelling at them. The next day we noticed our motorcycle covers were gone. These covers were worth collectively $500. We confronted her about it, knowing that she threw them away. She lied to our faces, stating there had been a string of robberies from carports recently and the police were notified. Upon further investigation, police were not called to the property in the past 6 months. She will not admit it, but we know she threw them away. On May 4th, 2020 we got ANOTHER letter on our door from Claire. We had a pile of ridiculous windy complaints already. I was burning sage the night before, and Claire mistook the smell for Marijuana smoke. This letter stated she would be filing eviction papers when the courts reopened. The purpose of this letter was to harass us because our lease is up June 1st 2020 and we are moving into a new place next week. Evicting us would take at least 90 days, and she knows that. She continued to harass us despite the stay at home orders preventing us from moving and working. My boyfriend and I, both out of work, continued to pay rent. After the most recent letter we had to file a CEASE AND DESIST ORDER on her so she would leave us alone for the remainder of our time here. Claire and her husband are bullies. I know for a fact that other tenants have misbehaved animals and smoke cigarettes and marijuana. If we didn't live next to her, we wouldn't have been bothered. She is two faced, deceitful, and on a property manager power trip. I pity whoever lives next to her. Because for the past year its been like living in her home following her rules, not our home that we PAY to live in. I could go on and on about the harassment we endured while living here, but I don't have enough space. Do not live here unless you want to live under the dictatorship of a bored property manager."

"We loved our apartment. Loved sitting on the balcony and enjoying the ocean breeze. We moved to Florida, but want to come back. Would love to rent again, but... afraid the prices are too high now. Claire and Judy are wonderful. Alex too."

"I moved from Michigan to California to be near my son. I found Ocean View Terrace's website and fell in love just looking at the pictures. Ron, Claire and Judy couldn't have been more helpful. I love my one bedroom apartment and love the large patio with a beautiful ocean breeze.It is bright and close to major highways and the ocean. There is no dishwasher in the one bedroom's which I really miss, but it's ok. After I moved in I had a problem with the bathroom faucet. Within an hour Alex was at my door to replace the faucet! I'm looking to spend my retirement years right here. Thank you Ron, Claire, Judy and Alex. You are a great management team."
