Best Western Plus Oceanside Palms

"We are a family of four. First time visiting & everything was AMAZING! Everything smelled cleaned upon arrival, customer service was great, room was clean, and we enjoyed hot breakfast each day... we all would recommend this place to stay."

"I wish that I had the experience others have enjoyed but I sadly did not. A couple weeks ago while staying with family outside this area, we wanted to take my son to see the ocean so we decided to do a roadtrip to California. Searched online and found this place, called them up direct and made the reservation over the phone with the front desk to stay the next day, simple and easy, made the 400mi trek the next morning and checked in at 3pm only to be told that there was a *planned* power outage from 10pm-6am... made the best of our stay (beach and other areas had power) but I was very upset that I was not made aware of this until check in, I could have easily booked at another hotel if I would have known this. Front desk said they weren't made aware of the power outage until that morning but when I spoke to the electrical company (and the crews onsite in the street) they said the hotel was given a minimum 72hr notice of the repairs needed for their work. So my issue is with the deception of taking my money and reservation knowing that we would be deprived of all hotel resources minus a bed to sleep in. The power was never turned back on as the electrical company needed more time to do their work and was still off when we checked out at 11am, so we had zero amenities including hot water to clean up. I understand things happen but the lack of transparency is what's at hand here...otherwise looked like a nice place, wish I was given the opportunity to leave a better review."

"Friendly staff and great location! The rooms were clean! Breakfast is also included and was nice. The only thing is the dining area was bit smaller compared to the hotel size. Was a bit crowded and chaotic during the weekend!"

"I was given an upgraded room on the top floor for my first night because my room wasn't ready when I arrived after check-in time. I call that top notch customer service. It enabled me to rest in peace and quiet. The room was spacious, with great amenities and the bed was very comfortable. The front desk people were very efficient and personable every time I talked to them. This location has a strong relationship with the military because of its proximity to Camp Pendleton, as witnessed by the many plaques of appreciation in their lobby. Staff tell me they offer even more breakfast variety on the weekends because of military staying there. Having access to computers and TV news on the big screen is helpful. I felt completely safe throughout my stay of multiple nights. Thank you to the staff. (As usual, no goods or services were exchanged for this review.)"

"Only stayed one night to attend Bike The Coast the next day but couldn't have asked for a better experience. Staff were very helpful and polite. Parking was plentiful and it was easy to unload my bike and gear and take it to my room with the advice the front desk gave to park towards the back. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Only wish I could have sampled breakfast but the event called for an early start for full century riders so I had to leave before it was served. The hotel location was great though and made it very easy to get to the starting point on The Strand. Would definitely stay here again if I need a hotel in Oceanside in the future."
