"It’s our first time renting an apartment and we thought the whole process was going to take a while but when we applied here it was so quick and easy and even got a call the very next day. Our original move in date was November 26 and they did inform us that it got canceled because the people moving out decided not to anymore but they went ahead and were still able to find us a new upgraded apartment and with a much sooner move in date. So it still worked out very well and I am very happy with how everything is going so far. We were also able to do a virtual tour through the website , which was super easy and helpful. Now we can’t wait to officially move in soon and get to see everything else the complex has to offer!"
"Edit: Both prior to and after The District commented on this post I was in contact with management. They were mostly non-responsive and have recently closed my dispute without making any accommodations or even addressing my specific concerns. I hope this information is helpful as you search for a new home! New management, same BS. We initially signed a lease here because the price was reasonable, but we quickly found that at The District you get worse than what you pay for, as there are comparably placed apartments with nowhere near the same number of issues. We lived here for a year and during our lease we saw the property have THREE changes in management. We continuously had a roach problem despite constant cleaning and products used. Every time the management changed there was an issue with rent or utilities. I constantly had to take time out of my day to rectify billing issues on their end. There were homeless people roaming the property and one lady even lived in the pool area. Maintenance and standard of living problems like these continued despite the management changes. The last straw was when we received a "final notice" move out statement FIVE MONTHS after we moved out after hearing nothing from the complex. No phone calls, e-mails, letters, NOTHING. In fact, we had contracted to do a joint walk through before we moved but that was never conducted, either. When I visited the management office to try to clarify some charges (eg. why I was never contacted before now, why I was being charged for pet stains despite my dog never so much as licking the floor, why I was being charged July's utilities in September etc.) I was met by a wholly unhelpful woman who blamed everything on the third party who issued the statement. I really did want to give the new management a chance to make things right but they proved to be as inhumane as the two before them. PLEASE save yourselves the time, frustration, and funds. Do not rent here."
"The staff is completely unethical!! My son filled out an application and left a refundable deposit but changed his mind due to complaints from current residents. While we were there one woman complained her oven has been broken for 2 years. Another guy called me outside to warn me about the bug infestation in his unit. When I asked the staff she blamed it on he residents neglect. It’s been over 3 month and my son still has not gotten his refundable deposit. First they said he never applied then he was never charged. We provided bank statements and still nothing!! We are now pursuing legal actions!! The worst!!"
"I lived there in a two bedroom apt with my roommate from august 2017 - July 2018. Area is sketchy, and while the apts were remodeled, there was still a lot of work being done, and it wasn't kept very clean. On moving day, the parking lot had a ton of roaches. I ended up losing a fan, and a couple stuffed animals because roaches were on them before I realized how many there were in the parking lot. I tossed them. I can't stand roaches. I was so disappointed to move in and find a few inside! Roaches kept coming in from apts behind us and despite two chemical sprays, nothing was fixed. There are a lot of weed smokers, and tons of cigarettes all over the property. Management was great at first, very friendly! However they did not respond adequately to water damage caused by the people living upstairs. Water poured in from the upstairs bathroom and flooded the floor and walls and ruined the carpet and ceiling. Mold started to grow on the ceiling and it smelled terrible and we were charged the additional cleaning fee even though were were quoted a fee of $150, we were actually charged over $300. We left the apt very clean and well taken care of (minus the mold), I have pictures to prove it. They sent the fee to collections without contacting us. Very unprofessional. I have been trying to contact them since September 2018 and left multiple messages. I have sent them emails as well. Nothing has been addressed. I was very disappointed as they started off on a great foot. We moved out due to the state of the property. I keep calling them, and either the manager is out, or no one is there to address the problem. It's now February and despite my many messages and emails, have not received a single call from them to address this problem. Update: Turns out it was a fee for utilities. which is fine, but they never contacted me, it was just sent to collections."
"I have lived here for about two years. I have to say I love it. I have looked into other apartments but I just can't give up the low rent and my huge apartment. if I have a maintenance need, they come out the same day without a problem. the girls in the leasing office are extremely nice and understanding. I have not had any problems here. I feel comfortable taking my dog out to use the restroom at night. the only wish I had is a washer n dryer in the apartment. I recommend this apartment complex to any one who wants the most bang for they're buck."
