"Location. Location. Location. They say. True. Best location close to the freeway and mall without the noise from the freeway or mall. Access to the Harveston Main pool, duck pond, park and BBQ area. Staff is excellent in every way. Always looking for a way to strenthen the community that lives here. Highly recommended"
"I have been a resident at Cape May Apartments for 6 months now. My experience here has be so unpleasant. I moved here from another State so I didn’t have the opportunity to see the apartments before moving in. I chose this place because of the award winning school districts and convenient location. From the website and reviews I thought this place would be perfect place until we figured out our job situation. Cape May Apartments website is very misleading and anything but a “luxurious lifestyle “ and it is also not a smoke free apartment complex either. It is dirty and smells of pet feces and urine. It was literally a bait and switch when I arrived and I had nowhere else to go. They put me in a smoking apartment even though they advertise non smoking on the website and then made me pay extra on the only other unit available on the 3rd floor .I have expressed to management how unhappy we are here with no solutions. I would be forced to pay a 6700 penalty fee if I was to break the lease. I also was hoping to possibly get out of the lease a month early and the answer was no. I am very disappointed and I hope that no one else makes the same mistake as I did. There are other beautiful complexes in Temecula with better management."
"My experience with Cape May Harveston was beyond disappointing. We were good-paying tenants, never late on rent payments. However, when we informed them that we wouldn't be renewing our lease due to a significant rent increase of $300 per month, things took a turn for the worse. Despite our intention to move out sooner, they charged us extra money for staying longer. This unfair and unreasonable charge was the final straw in a series of disappointments. Not only did they withhold our security deposit and impose an unwarranted cleaning fee despite the apartment being left in good condition, but their trash valet service was a constant source of frustration, often leaving judgmental notes about how we placed our trash out. Moreover, promised amenities like the pool BBQs were never fixed or maintained properly. It's clear that the management's negligence extends to various aspects of the property. Melanie and the office staff were consistently rude and unprofessional, resorting to harassment and threats. This place falls far short of the standards one would expect from a housing community. I would strongly advise against renting from Cape May Harveston."
"I love living here. The scenery is great, its quiet, and the residents are friendly. Not to mention the office staff is amazing, they’re a hardworking, welcoming group of employees who dedicate time and energy into making sure their residents are happy residents! :) (and a bonus is living so close to the ducks at the lake across the street.)"
"Where to start with this place. I’ll start with the good as that’s only fair. This complex has been great for years. We lived here almost 4 years and loved the area and the amenities. The complex is clean and constantly worked on by maintenance. I can’t say enough good things about those hard working men and women who keep up on the apartments. They are great and always fast responding to any little or big problem that arises. With any apartment complex you will have the normal problems such as noise complaints and parties. That’s what you get when you have a ton of people so close together. The real problem with this complex is quite simply put the manager. Thea Rainwater is extremely unprofessional and rude to her tenants, she can never keep her story straight with tenants and outright lies when she doesn’t know the answer. What makes it worse is she treated the maintenance workers even worse. I’ve heard her talk to them extremely rude and demanding when they work hard as it is. That’s why the entire last maintenance crew quit without notice. When you come to her with any sort of problem she is always “ in a meeting and unavailable“ the President of the United States, doesn’t even attend this many meetings…. She’s always unavailable, and never responds to phone calls or emails and makes her other workers Handle her complaints. Many other residents have shared the same complaints about Thea and guess what… nothing ever comes of it. Get rid of her and you have a golden complex to live in. Oh but be prepared to pay $235.00 to repaint the apartment when you leave after living there for 4 years. That’s even when you don’t hang photos or damage the apartment in any way plus $134.72 for cleaning as well. The lease never specifies what you need to do when you leave. They also make up excuses when called on about the outrageous fees. When pressed about the insane move out fees they will choose to just keep your security deposit as retaliation. I’ll attach some photos below on how we left the apartment to dispute any doubts about how we left it. Thea continued to back peddle when pressed about different charges and flat out started to lie when caught up with her statements trying to make sense of the misinformation she was spreading. When asked to prove to us where it stated in the lease we were liable for those said charges she could not. After she realized it wasn’t in the lease she stated it was the new “COVID Protocol” which also was never amended to the lease or signed. So be aware this place will make things up just to rob you of your money. Feel free to read the other 100 reviews that state the same thing."
