"Has become an increasingly unsafe area. A couple of months ago I had my car broken into, which shocked me because we are supposed to have security in the parking lot, but I guess they took the day off that time. In addition, I've also had multiple packages stolen from the shared delivery room. It's a trust based system, which is horrible, so if you like receiving packages, be sure to go get them immediately or risk someone else taking them. When I've reported my packages missing, they just say they'll look at the cameras and ultimately nothing comes of it. As a result of all this, every weekend you see U-Hauls with people moving to better places, which wasn't the case when I first moved here in mid 2022. Won't be long before I too find a new home."
"Moved in 03/08/23 and moving out 02/29/24 Beachwood is definitely a good apartment complex for its price and location. In my past 11 months living here I’ve had very few complaints. Keep in mind I live further in the complex compared to the buildings sitting next to beach blvd. Pros: - Community is clean. I’ve toured other complexes near by asking a few hundred dollars extra compared to beach-wood and they don’t even come close. Even when I lived in San Diego in a one bedroom costing $2800 a month the complex there wasn’t as clean as the complex here and the price difference is astronomical. That’s definitely saying something. -apartments are spacious, I honestly love the layout of the one bedroom. -maintenance is on top of everything. My AC went out during the summer time and although it took a week to fix (would start working and stop working till they realized there was a burnt out part) they supplied me with a portable AC unit. -overall the other tenants are super nice. Never had an issue with anybody on the complex -although there aren’t any washer/dryer in unit, the washer/dryer units have card-less payment. I thought that was a nice touch for convenience. -security guard at night. I can’t speak directly to anything that goes on outside of the apartment complex, but I have never seen or witnessed theft. Cons: - you do live in Anaheim, on beach blvd. honestly I don’t have a problem with it, but just check around the area and you’ll see what I’m talking about. It’s not bad though, and I only put this here cause I know some people might think it’s “ghetto”. Homeless do dumpster dive but honestly, they just dig the trash and leave, and don’t really leave a mess so it’s not even a bother to me personally. - parking. Beach Blvd has permit parking so if you have guest be ready for them to park in the neighborhoods across the street, cause there’s never parking in the guest parking and if there is, definitely first come first serve. -thin walls. I can practically hear my neighbors watching flavor flay on a random Saturday night. I honestly felt like I could cough and they could hear me as well. - complex does not allow lease switches. Life happens, sometimes you need bigger space. 6 months into my apartment lease I needed a 2 bedroom but unfortunately there was no way we can do an inter complex transfer without paying the break lease amount. I feel like that’s a con cause most complexes I’ve lived in allow a transfer and renewal of lease for the new unit after 6 months in the complex if you so wished, If you think about it they actually make more money doing that. Something to be mindful of. - move in for my situation particularly. I’m a combat veteran receiving VA disability and going to school full time. If you know anything about the military you receive housing allowance while going to school. when I showed them these documents awarding my payments monthly it was an issue. Now I didn’t mind showing bank statements etc. to prove I was receiving them but I felt it was a little unprofessional when the manager said “well we don’t know if you are going to be receiving these payments forever” to which I thought was absurd cause that’s like asking someone if they would keep their job forever. Income is income. That’s it, and my credit background check would show i wasn’t delinquent or had any prior evictions. Other than that I’ve enjoyed my time here. Would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a place to call home."
"My wife and I stayed at Beachwood in 2 separate short stints, and we have nothing but praise for the management & maintenance crew. All standard maintenance were kept up with. Communications were excellent. Dan & Elizabeth were always reachable either via phone or email ... and they were attentive to our requests. Staff was friendly and helpful. Even when we ran into a couple of problem after our lease was up, we just got the help we needed to get them resolved!"
"Beachwood apartment complex provides comfortable and affordable housing for residents. The apartments are spacious and well-maintained, ensuring tenants have a pleasant living environment. Management is responsive to any issues that arise. The location is convenient, close to shops and transportation. Overall, this is a great value for the cost."
"This review is based primarily for the management staff, Elizabeth, Dan, Joel & all employees. I have lived here almost 6 yrs. Besides the improvement of the community every year, the staff, has always been the best. They are friendly, helpful, prompt and always does their best to take care of the needs of the residents. Whenever I have issues with my apartment, it’s always taken care of on the same day or when I need them that works with my schedule. They truly do try their best to help us live comfortably here."
