"Caution!! These apartments are infested with black mold and is ignored by management. I will be reporting this to the health department. They do not give back any security deposit after lease agreement expires and charge for cleaning the walls. Then charge an additional cleaning fee. They take forever to fix any problems that occur. There is also no visitor parking available and will call the tow company so they can get a kick back"
"We used to live there for 7 years every six month they increase the rent , and when we moved finally they charged a lot ,even we cleaned . Cleared all trash , moved check out with manager , she told everything is ok that time.later on they send big amount of bill."
"Been living here for over a year now. When we were applying we were told that the pool next to the office was undergoing maintenance but it was never fixed, it has never been opened to the tenants. Like literary never. It is just for show for applicants to look "good". The gym machines are the same exact story. Everything is broken and never fixed. All units share the tiniest lundry room of 6 small load washing machines and 6 dryers. So it gets crazy with people ALWAYS taking your stuff out. There is so much water wasted on the crappy plants that there are huge mosquitos and crazy big spiders that go into your house. They never EVER clean unless a new tenant is moving in. We were told upon applying that the walkways would be swept almost daily. Parking is literally hell. And the manager Doña Gloria gets mad if you park in the street and not in your stall in the property. I guess that Pacific park owns the public street as well. They will tell you that no pets are allowed but people have multiple animals and the managers know. They will give you a notice to pay rent or give up the property even though rent is due in 2 DAYS! People steal amazon packages all the time and run away when you see them. Many one room apartments like mine have 6or more people living in them but then they refuse to rent to smaller families/couples. The maintenance guys suck they do half a** jobs. My apartment was given to me very dirty, smelly, and in okay condition not in good condition like they wrote on the lease papers. I wouldn't be here if I could afford going somewhere else."
"They ignore your every request. A new manager every other month it seems, and they work out a deal with the towing company to tow your car at every chance. They let the people they like have pets and kick out the rest that also have pets. Don't look for anyone that cares more then a smile. They will smile , agree with you and then never do anything. They ask you to call the police for any problems you have with neighbors as they will not deal with the renters themselves. AND NO GRACE PERIOD on rent if you are one day late you will get a pay or quit and be accessed $900 attorney fees just for being one day late."
"I live here when it was The Villa Pomona Apartments from 1979 until 1981. I lived in a down stairs 2 bedroom and the rent was only $335 a month! The place was old when I lived there. I'm guessing that place was built in the mid 60s. Back then we had a lot of fun there. The beach was close by and we would barbecue in our backyard all the time. The only problems we had there was with crime. There's a low rent district across the street from it and the cops would always be chasing the bad guys into our complex. Just about every weekend the cops would be running through those apartments looking for someone who ran in there. If I were you, before renting here, I would ask the local police station if Shalamar Street is still the high crime area it used to be."
