"Room wasn't as bad as I was expecting based on reviews. My problem is with the unethical management. Made reservation weeks ago, then the night of I'm told over the phone if I don't check in by midnight i incur an additional $25 fee. Before arriving, I double-checked their listing and property rules which doesn't mention it anywhere, nor does it anywhere in the office. So, like most would, I disputed it when I was checking in. The owner then told me I wasn't welcome to stay there and wouldn't be refunding my $85. Clearly, there's no shame in hurting others when it's what pays for his Ferrari"
"This place was anything but cozy. The room smelled musty, the room had patches on the wall and tape on the doors. The man at the front desk said “you can figure it out” when I asked what the name of the WiFi was after he gave me the password. I would never stay here again and I can’t believe I payed 96$ for this low quality room."
"The number one reason to give this place one star is their privacy issues. When I got in the guy at the desk had slips of paper with the names of the people coming in right there in full view and he wrote down my credit card number on that piece of paper in a section on all of them. No encrypted system for your card information just a piece of paper anyone could take home with them or copy your information from. Had I seen that fact in a review I would have never booked here. Protecting my card information is important. I've stayed here before years ago for a Disney trip and thought it would still be a decent cheaper hotel while in town for a wedding close by. When I had come before the carpets needed changing but I could tell the property owners were trying to keep the place clean and renovate. I don't know if owners changed but this place has gone completely downhill. The room I was in hadn't been cleaned after the last person who stayed there left. There were things in the bedside drawers and hair on the toilet, in the shower, and in the bed. There's visible mold in the bathroom and signs of water damage along the wall that suggests the mold you see may be a fraction of what's there. The only signs of changeover was the towels seemed fresh and not just folded back up after the last person which was a relief as the bed was questionable and I covered a pillow with my clothing to be sure my face was on something clean. On top of that one of the lamps was missing a bulb but plugged in which is a safety hazard."
"Hands down the best bang-for-the-buck motel I’ve ever stayed at. My girlfriend & I got their “king suite” for a night and the towels were cutely folded into swans with roses for Valentine’s Day. The king suite is on the corner with no neighboring rooms, and it’s the biggest motel room I’ve ever seen. Bed was comfy and clean, there’s some scuffs and scratches on the walls but hey, for about $100 a night who cares? Front desk people are friendly too."
"I rented a room here a day before arriving in California. The hotel called me at 8:30 and told me there would be an additional fee imposed because we were driving from Arizona to California and would not be arriving until after 11:30. Fine- bizarre but fine. Poor planning on my part but I decided to eat the cost because I had already booked the room. We arrived, exhausted and were met by an empty locked room. After standing outside, knocking repeatedly in the freezing cold and having my calls to the hotel go unanswered, we decided to go to the Motel 6 down the road. Oh, and when I called back the next day to explain what happened and ask for a refund I was gaslit by the person who answered and informed this was all my fault. Your night auditors are paid to watch the front desk and answer the phone and to be fair, this is not the most demanding job on the planet. I will be getting my money back and would also like an apology."
