"We lived here in faculty housing for two years. For the price and location, you really can't beat it. There are a lot of positives: friendly staff, efficient maintenance, cheap amenities, and a decent community. There are a handful of negatives: the buildings are oooooold, the place is infested with ground squirrels, there's zero landscaping (as in, don't expect grass), and the play structures for kids need updating (which I believe they are doing, as of 2021). Overall, if you're affiliated with CSUMB and can't afford Bay Area rent, this is your best bet."

"Great place to live! Good maintenance service, quiet neighborhood, great parks. I suppose the only issue is parking. I'd like to see some of the areas in between the driveways paved for added parking areas."
