"For the last year, I have been living in the Pleasure Point/ Live Oak area of Santa Cruz County due to a "Time Out" from marriage. My wife and I have reconciled our differences in our separation and are making our marriage our priority. My kids, wife and I, truly will miss our Apartment. It has become a get-away from the craziness of San Jose and let us enjoy the peace and beauty of Pleasure Point. I have nothing but happy memories of my time spent here. Shearwater Apartments is truly a great apartment complex, I love everything about this complex. The Staff, the neighbors and the perfect location near the beach and local restaurants. One think I might add is this apartment complex is easy walking distance to restaurants, bars and shopping areas. I loved how my apartment was well cared for and easy to manage. I loved the coziness of the apartment layout and the little things like shelves in the bedroom closet or storage on the outdoor deck. I loved waking up and having coffee on the balcony watching the mist lift from the lagoon. Where else can you live less than a block from the beach with million dollar views in California for less than $3000.00. As I said before happy memories."

"I have been a renter for 16 years across the county. And this place is by far the best place to live. The manager there has such a big heart and cares.( We all have had bad ones) She knows her stuff , she takes her time to help all in need. Goes above her call of duty to make sure u have a safe and quite place to live. And she leaves u alone period, no nagging or bugging. One of a kind women. Everyone respects everyone. This is such a quite and unique place to live. They are doing it right. This is how I wish everyone was treated or lived in peace. Hard to find theses days. Thanks so much"

"We lived here for three of the best years of our rental history. The complex had very courteous and well mannered neighbors, was impeccably maintained and all promises were kept above and beyond our expectations. Melanie, the property manager is one of the kindest and most wonderful people you would ever see in such a role. She went one step farther to ensure that the tenants were satisfied. Same with the maintenance team led by Lee, who built a great rapport with us and were prompt in responding to any and all issues. The service, amenities and facilities are excellent at the price point, and this is a wonderful neighborhood and great complex to be in expensive Santa Cruz!! We lived in both the one and two bedroom units: both have very optimally laid out floor plans with huge bedrooms, living space and balconies, well provisioned kitchens and bathrooms and tons of storage and closet space. Landlords (during our time at least) were very fair with our security deposit and rent. Even the new management company has had kind employees who have been great in trying to help us retrieve some rental records (although they eventually could not help us due to physically transferred rental records that haven’t been computer filed yet). If you are looking for a fairly priced great place to stay by the beach in a fun part of Santa Cruz with a great property manager and maintenance team to help you out, Look no farther than Shearwater!"
