"I shouldn't have beat around the bush asking for a room not facing the street - now I'm stuck in here and the road is SO LOUD. Like relentlessly and obnoxiously loud. I have no idea how I am going to sleep and I'm miserable trying to work. Otherwise, it's a nice, if sparse, hotel room. Maybe better sealed windows or some curtains would help the noise - unfortunately, you can't keep the fan running on the A/C unit to cover up the noise... I'm truly unhappy and I recommend that you not stay on the Mission St. side, it's really crazy loud."

"I really enjoyed staying here as one of my stops on a cross country roadtrip. I was a solo female traveler and I felt absolutely safe. The rooms were so nice and modern. The hotel is located right near UC Santa Cruz and the Monarch trail. I didn't get a chance to visit the trail because I was traveling with my dog and dogs are not allowed, but we did get to see the waves off the beach. Despite it being a labeled a 2-star hotel, it was a really nice space. Also, the breakfast was pretty good. I really enjoyed the potatoes and the sausage."

"Laundry facilities are overpriced and the front desk doesn’t have any change like stated in the laundry room. Save yourself a bunch of money and go across the street. Hotel charges $3 per load for wash and dry for small loads. Laundry about 30 feet outside the front door of hotel costs $3.00 for double load and $1.00 for hour dry AND they have change and soap at great prices. Otherwise, room was clean and spacious. Mostly quiet. Would stay here again."

"Very nice hotel in good condition. The staff was professional and helpful. The breakfast was an added bonus. The hotel was on the edge of Santa Cruz and along Hwy 1. We saw very few transients and Hwy got us everywhere we needed to go quickly."

"We stayed here for three nights in early September. We agreed it is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at! Rooms were very clean, the bathroom has great lighting, large excellent shower with a great showerhead and shower products. Coffee downstairs at any time of the day, and so many breakfast options all included with the stay. Parking was easy and located behind the building. Walking distance to restaurants, brewery, and a short drive to the wharf area. Would absolutely stay here again if we visit the area!"
