"We had a certain situation happen to us, but that’s a long story. Jill and Sara were more than happy to help us fix the situation, and they’ve been incredibly kind. This is an amazing apartment complex to move into. The apartments are incredibly nice. I want to give a special thanks to Jill and Sara for being so amazing!"
"WORST APARTMENT COMMUNITY!! 0 rating, if I could. I recently moved out from River Terrace Apartments in Santa Clara, managed by UDR, and experienced an unfortunate situation of unfair treatment and unlawful charges. Despite leaving the unit in a condition better than specified in the lease agreement, my entire security deposit was unreasonably withheld, and I was additionally charged for alleged cleaning and wear/tear (Paint charges). This was compounded by the unresponsiveness of the billing department when trying to rectify the situation. They don't have any contact number and you are compelled to reach out only via email which they never respond back to. UDR's disregard for tenant rights and its strategy of intimidating residents is deeply disturbing. The lack of trust and cooperation from the management, coupled with their unfair practices, has compelled me to advise potential tenants to be cautious if considering River Terrace as their future home. It is my hope that UDR reforms their practices, treating residents fairly and transparently. As for my own experience, I am left with no choice but to explore legal avenues to protect my rights and recover the wrongfully withheld funds. This recounting of my experience is a warning to others and an appeal for improved practices within the rental community. AGAIN, NEVER LIVE HERE!"
"Everything about the leasing office is extremely disappointing! I have wasted two days of my time trying to talk to someone in the leasing team but it always takes you to some random representative or directs you to a text message ! No one ever cared to give me a callback or answer my situation on call ! Texting back and forth to some random agent is not gonna make a future resident feel good about the community ! Even though I loved the floor plan and wanted to get the apartment leased,I am just stepping back because of the terrrible experience I had with the leasing office !"
"I have been at River Terrace for about 6 years total and it’s been my favorite place I’ve ever lived. It’s a great place to call “home”. River Terrace is an extremely beautiful, well-kept and peaceful community. They are constantly upgrading and working hard to make it a better place to live. They have a lot of fun community events and even during the pandemic, they thought of creative ways for us to have fun together while staying safe. This apartment complex couldn’t be better located. It’s near a lot of shopping, restaurants, parks, trails, transportation and schools. It offers amenities that a lot of apartment complexes do not. I’d like to especially give a shout out to Marissa and Garret. Since they both started working at River Terrace, this place has only gotten better and better. They are both super sweet and constantly go above and beyond with everything they do. Marissa and Garret are a big reason why I love this place so much and continue to live here. Upper management should be extremely grateful to have these two on their team, they’re the best!"
"We have lived in river terrace apartments for 2 years now. We love the neighborhood and have enjoyed our time so far. Maintenance is very good and timely. Apartments are in good condition. My biggest complaint is with the leasing office and rates. As many people have pointed out move out is very expensive. They try to lure you in with lower rates but increase rate a lot with every renewal. We were told that we were being given rate better than market rate for our renewal, then we saw a similar apartment in the community with a better view than us actually being offered for a lower price. When we bought this up and tried to negotiate the renewal offer they threw a brick wall saying it is determined based a lot of other factors, never specified what. So what you see in the leasing office are soft spoken polite people who are friendly but are not going to help you. In short - they 'are' going to make money no matter what you decide -- renew or move out! If you are thinking of leasing here keep the above in mind."
