"Persistent unpleasant (sewer gas?) smell in bathroom for the entire time I was in Room 216. Renovation of other rooms was underway but that shouldn’t be related. Road noise in rooms facing the main street. Typical breakfast items for holiday inn, clean room and comfy bed were the important things, and didn’t disappoint."

"Super OLD interiors and buildings…..I’ve stayed in Holiday Inn Express’s SJC airport and Sunnyvale locations, and this location is by FAR the WORST….MY 2 ROOMS LOOKED NOTHING LIKE THE ONES IN PHOTOS!!!! This location DOES NOT meet Holiday Inn Express’s standard."

"After using the elevator, to find our room, we had to lug our suitcases up 10 steps! Room smells like cleaner and bleach. Cannot get the frig to work properly. Wifi doesn't work. The bathtub is filthy. Door knob is loose/broken. There's a keurig in the room, but no sweeteners or creamer for coffee. It was unplugged and no outlet nearby. Must be for looks! They held my credit card info, in case I smoke in the room. Seems the Room has already been smoked in with the disinfectant smells it already has! Feels like a scam to charge additional fees."

"Coming from NZ American hotels take a little getting used to - room has a microwave oven but only paper cups for the flavored coffee pods. No milk in the fridge or tea making facilities. However the cafe downstairs has round the clock tea & coffee. We appreciated the generous & varied breakfasts that set you up for that big American (portion size) lunch! Nice to use the gym also. Staff were warm & friendly."
