"I paid for the membership but got cancel 2 times without notice. The third time I came and expected to have power duo treatment but they don't have the machine available. I asked them to change the payment date for membership because I paid but didn't get the service I was scheduled. They rejected and said I can get different services or go to different locations which is in San Francisco, too far for me. They don't have the fractional machine till April. I asked them to pause my membership till they have the machine for my treatment. They continue to rejected. Then, I asked to cancel the membership, they rejected too, because they want me to pay at least 4 months. I asked for manager, and she never gets back to me. I hope this review can help others to think carefully if you want to go membership with them. Second, I hope this can get me a response from the manager too. UPDATE They contacted me for solutions. The manager was out for PTO. They are willing to help and working with my concerns"
"Watch out... Skin Laundry makes it impossible for you to cancel your membership! I am disappointed with the service I received regarding the cancellation of my Skin Laundry membership (4 months were enough for me)! I submitted an online cancellation request on January 31st, 2024, and followed up via phone the same day. Despite visiting the Burlingame store on February 16th, where an employee assured me that the store manager would follow up, I have not received any feedback, calls, or emails. The lack of communication has left me uncertain about the status of my account, and my online profile still suggests that the membership will never expire. This has been frustrating, and I am yet to receive confirmation that the February payment will be the final one! Please advise Skin Landry. Thanks! UPDATED - THANK YOU FOR THE CONFIRMATION I want to update my post. Thanks to the manager for responding both via email, text, and phone. My subscription is now cancelled. However, I believe it's crucial for Corporate Skin Laundry to enhance the transparency of their cancellation policies and streamline the process for customers. While I completed an online form, it proved insufficient, resulting in a less-than-ideal customer experience! It shouldn't be that hard, right?"
"Love their signature laser facial. I’m totally seeing improvements to the texture, colors, and overall health of my skin. The space is also bright and welcoming. I highly recommend this place!"
"Staff was nice, but beware this isn’t a relaxing facial. I also didn’t find it efficacious. My skin was so dry following the procedure and I got new red patches on my face. It’s been three days now and I thought it would have resolved but my skin looks much worse than it did when I went in."
"Updating my review: The second time I’ve gone into for my treatment the experience was way different. I didn’t feel pressured and the team was able to answer all my questions. I had a really lovely time. Thank you for listening to the feedback and much appreciated! The products seem fine. It’s my second visit to skin laundry. Will see how the treatments look like after I compare to my dual fraxel from before vs skin laundry treatments now. First was in LA larchmont location. Their service was great from beginning to end and answered all my questions. The one in Burlingame asked me if I was tipping. I said I don’t tip my Dermatologist so why would I tip here? They said it’s because it’s a service. To be very clear you don’t tip the cashier, travel agent, front desk, etc since the service they provide is what they get paid for. The equipment does all the work and you are in and out in 15-30 mins. I tip the nail salon since that’s a service - two hour process based on their service and I always tip 25-30% for true service oriented items. The lady said “well the dermatologist looks for medical conditions”. When I get my fraxel procedure, which is 100% elective, I don’t tip. Also the people operating the machines are registered nurse. So now I am more confused- why have registered nurses if they aren’t going to have a clear understanding of what the procedures are and how they are different from other laser treatments? I’ve read in soooo many posting and forums and tipping is the biggest issue people don’t want to come back to skin laundry - because it advertises as something affordable then say “no pressure, but are you tipping on the retail value procedure?” The founder said this was created to be more affordable for everyone, but if you ask people (putting pressure on the customer even if you keep saying it’s an option) then they will feel obligated and leave with a bad feeling. No matter how much the company says tips are optional it makes people feel like you have to. If you really want to make it optional please stop asking when leaving. I will tip when I feel like the services deserve a tip not because I got what I paid for."
