"Great instructors, great experience overall. The bioluminescence tour was serene and beautiful. However, I'm knocking off a star because the bioluminescence shown on the website photos is misleading. In reality, there were a few small "sparkles" in the water following rapid hand movements in the water. If you don't move your hand, it looks like plain water. Even with the hand movement, you really have to look for the bioluminescence. This is very different from the website photos and general expectations for this sort of excursion. In Puerto Rico for instance, you could see obvious trails of scintillating light in the water with no hand movement. This was nothing like that. It was still a wonderful experience."
"My husband, 2 teenage daughters and I went on a night time kayaking excursion, where we got to see a ton of bioluminescent plankton. It was an amazing experience and the guides made it even better. Highly recommended"
"Would definitely recommend. A little pricey but that's the bay area and they make it so easy. We rented from the hearts desire location on a busy day and they came and picked us up from a nearby parking lot when the lot at the park was full. Friendly staff. Gave us some info on the area and wildlife to look out for before we set out. Nice kayaks. Feels like a professional operation while still being very chill. Will definitely be back."
"My friend and I did the 4 hour tour of Tomales Bay yesterday. We lucked out with the weather. The guide, Seamus was nice and knowledgeable about the area. They provided spray skirts and waterproof jackets to keep us dry and warm. Seamus even pushed our kayaks into the water so we did not get our feet wet getting in. He recommeded the Marsahll Store for lunch and it did not disappoint. We saw a lot of starfish and moon jellies. I will be back in the summer to see the leopard sharks and bat rays!"
"We rented Kayaks for 4 hours on a Friday morning and it was perfect...2 hours would have been not long enough. 4 hours was only $10 more per person. We ended up reserving the kayaks by phone and were able to pay ahead of time. We showed up, and 5-10 minutes later we were in the water. Very easy and fast service. The employees were friendly and helpful. I would recommend wearing crocs or a water sandal, especially if you start off in low tide and your feet will get muddy."
