"Lovely outfit near Grants Pass, Medford, and Ashland, Oregon. Our family group of grandparents and grandkids were nicely matched to appropriate horses (and even Dolly, the mule). We took a fun ride through a beautiful forested park. Tara and Tess engaged the grandkids wonderfully asking them questions and educating them on the forest and on their horses. Quickly the eight year old had learned how to keep their pony moving forward instead of eating the delicious grass. Tara and Tess made it easy to understand how to handle the horses and took a number of photos of us along the ride. Their well-behaved dogs were friendly and amusing on the ride as well. We will definitely be looking to come back for a longer ride!"

"I was taken on a ride with Applegate Trail Rides recently. I don't normally post reviews, but this experience deserves recognition. My guide seemed to have great situational awareness, knowledge of the area, and a passion for equines. It was obvious that she cared about the welfare of her animals and the safety of everyone around. There was wonderful conversation and easy laughter. It was just an enjoyable time from start to finish. If you are even considering a trip with them, do it! I won't hesitate for a second to recommend Applegate Trail Rides to anyone.
