"My wife and I just stayed two nights in the Oak room. We loved the place. Super cozy with a fireplace and nice old school decor. Location is 5 stars, and Mike who I phoned several times for help is fantastic. Unfortunately there were some issues with the room, mainly: - No fancy Malin + Goetz that was advertised. Sure I sound like a bit of a snob but kind of a bummer and false advertising. - Kitchenette was a bit dirty. House cleaner certainly missed a spot. - No housecleaning between nights. Seems like kind of a rip off especially considering the $199 per night price tag."

"Just got back from our weekend stay in the Fir cabin. Everything was great. Location is perfect for walking into town. Cabin was clean and well kept. The mattress was so comfortable my wife asked me to check the brand, which unfortunately I forgot to do. The only small suggestions would be to label the cabins on the backside along Alderwood St so you know where to park if you drive there first when you arrive and you're staying at one of the cabins on that side. Also, the knob in the shower is a bit difficult to adjust, temperature wise. We would definitely stay again if we're back in Idyllwild."

"I found my new spot for when I visit Idyllwild in the future! I stayed in the Redwood room. The inn is across the street from a lovely community garden. It is super close to town - only a 2-5 minute walk to everything. The bed was super comfortable. Great TV and a nice collection of books in the room. There are also rustic outdoor seating areas. At night I heard an occasional car drive by on the mountain road - so nice and peaceful."

"Wonderful stay! We booked super last minute and Nancy was so kind and accommodating throughout the whole process. The room we stayed in, OakLeaf, was excellent. Cozy and rustic decor that made you feel at home — if I could never leave I would! We were even allowed to bring our pup (pup loved it as well). Many, many thanks to Nancy for being so lovely and helpful to us :) we will be back again!"

"The House Lodge was the property I stayed in on The Fireside Inn. My group was composed of 4 adults. The cabana was overall very nice. However, the sofa bed wasn't comfortable to sleep on. Also, the piece of furniture itself could use a deep cleaning or renovation as it has stains throughout. The property in general was clean. The upstairs bed was good. I would've appreciated having some extra blankets as there was only one blanket for the sofa bed. For a winter night in the mountains, a couple of extra blankets would have made it more comfortable. Finally, it seems like the heater unit needs attention as it seemed to me it wasn't working to its full capacity."
