"A LOT of poison oak up and down the entire trail following the rains. Be careful!"
"Great hike, and beautiful area. Probably the most beautiful water fall in Santa Barbara. I did not appreciate the bicyclists riding down the Cold Springs West Trail. There was not enough room for them to pass by while hiking. I felt like I was having to leap out of the way of them (some of their bells were pretty quiet.) To get to the base of the waterfall, there is a bit of a rock scramble on the way through the creek bed. Definitely worth the journey as there wasn’t any mud to worry about"
"Beautiful scenery and well marked trails! We hiked up to Montecito Peak. Well worth it!"
"trail has changed significantly since the mud slide. hard to navigate unless previous knowledge of trail beforehand. a few forks so easy to get confused and go on the wrong trail. washed out but still beautiful and 2nd half has no worn trail (washed away), you need to go up the stream with rock climbing and some minor bouldering. super fun if you are up for a challenge with a beautiful reward!"
"Tangerine falls is located near Santa Barbara. There is no parking fee and there are enough open spots if you get there in the morning. There is no need to worry, as the trail is easy to follow, though just to be sure I got directions from the hikers around me. It’s a little bit over 4 miles round trip but it is steep, providing a good workout for the legs. I didn’t want to hike up to the falls, as there wasn't enough water flowing this year (Feb 23,2020). That said, I had a lot of fun with this hike.It offers an incredible view, with a lot of big boulders for me to climb. It was very adventurous and a bit scary for me at the same time. The green and fall colors mixed together felt amazing and relaxing to my eyes. The birds singing, wildflowers, and the sound of stream told me spring is here. I will come back here again after some rainfall."
