"Got a king room with balcony- was comfortable, nice mattress. Nice partial ocean view. Awesome hot tub and pool right outside the room. Street noise kept me up a bit. Got the resort fees refunded upon request. Would stay here again."

"I posted a review about this AMAZING hotel two years ago and I have a recent update with photos! Laguna Brisas Hotel has been my go to hotel when it comes to having a getaway at Laguna Beach. The staff here are incredibly friendly and they give you feedback of what places to visit while you're in the area. The hotel rooms are gorgeous!! They're clean, organized, spacious, and comfortable for the PERFECT stay near the beach. The room that we recently stayed in had a private balcony all to ourselves. I love how this hotel has their own parking garage to keep your vehicles safe. One of my favorite top reasons for coming to Laguna Brisas is just how close it is to the beach. The walking distance is only 5 minutes!! Literally across the street!! Thank You for everything that you continue to do Laguna Brisas!! I'll be coming back for many years to come!!"

"Overall all the location was good and staff was friendly. We were in a newly renovated room that was spacious and nice, however the room had sensor light switches that would not turn off. After clicking it to turn off they would turn back on after 20-30 seconds. We called the front desk which was helpful and the worker came up to the room and after awhile used tape and paper to cover the sensors. The lights still would turn on with movement however even the ones in the bathroom due to the mirror and open design of the room. There were no other rooms available so we were instructed to follow up in the morning. The front desk staff was helpful but the general manager denied a refund and was unwilling to help after Expedia tried seeking approval of a refund or discount. The general manager told Expedia that we didn't address the issue with the front desk, when we actually did (called the front desk and they came up to the room, and talked to front desk again in the morning). For the price, I don't think it was worth the stay for the hotel itself and the amenities/service...but it is across the street from a beautiful beach so location counts I guess."

"I stayed here in September 2021. Such a mistake! The place was not clean - which is especially disturbing in this time of COVID. Upon entering the room, I found random strange hairs in the bathtub. I immediately requested a thorough cleaning and mopping. While they did send someone to clean the tub, they never mopped the floor. I soon learned that I could not walk around barefoot as the bottoms of my feet were disgustingly black. Upon realizing how gross the floor was, I again requested that the floor be mopped but they never complied. In fact, I was there for six days, they never once came it to clean the room. We emptied the garbage and changed the towels ourselves. When I mentioned this to the General Manager, she was quite unapologetic and nonplussed. The front desk staff was quite pleasant, but they said they could not assist because it was up to the nasty GM to rectify the situation. In addition, my room was on the Bluebird Canyon side of the hotel. The first morning I realized that the garbage bins were directly under my room when I was awoken by the carting service emptying the bins. This occurred every morning, except Sunday morning, like clockwork at 7:30 am. Again, the GM was not sympathetic to the morning cacophony, I strongly suggest that you stay at one of the many other nearby hotels!!"

"Good hotel, undergoing lots of renovations. We got an internal 2 queen room on the third floor. The elevators are pretty old and I saw a hotel worker prying it open with his hands one time. Our room had a funky smell to it and although the bathrooms are nice, the internal ones definitely need updating (which is happening). If it wasn't for the smell and had we paid for the nicer rooms I think it would have been a different experience. It is much closer to the beach than other hotels and overall it was a good time."
