"Check in and check out we’re both great. The sweet employees at the front desk upgraded our room to an ocean view and gave us a wine tray for free! Rooms were clean and nice and the view was beautiful! Will definitely return!"

"While the hotel room is a true 2-star establishment with worn out furnishings and dated decor, the service is very good. I left 2 gold rings in the bathroom and left to catch the early morning ferry to Catalina island after checkout. I called the front desk frantically trying to locate the rings and hope that no one had take them. At first, the front desk staff, Sienna, was unable to find them. However, after a second search, she was able to find the gold rings inside the room. I’m very thankful for her diligence and integrity. If the rings were misplaced at a public place, I’m sure they would be gone forever. Thank you Seaside Laguna staff. BTW the location is a block away from a “secret beach”…the beach is hidden during high tides and is only visible for a few hours midday during low tides. The hotel is pet friendly, thus,, some barking at nighttime"

"Disappointed and would not stay here again. The location is good, but the rooms are outdated, super loud and moisty. We complaint about hair in our room upon check-in. They told us that they're not the Montage (luxury hotel in Laguna Beach). What kind of customer service is this?? Hair in the bed and sink are never OK, especially for their price range!! We then got an upgrade, but the room still definitively needs a renovation. There are enough other options to stay in. Cannot recommend it!"

"Service and location were great! The people who worked in the lobby were very helpful and nice always. While the location is great, it is still some ways away from the main strip of downtown. We made this work by timing our departures up with the trolley which was free and easy! The rooms were very basic and on the smaller side. We found ants in our bathroom and the tv did not work. Overall, great location if you’re looking to stay right on the beach! We were expecting more for the price we paid but it was fine."
