"Beautiful hotel very close to all restaurants and steps beach! The courtyard, rooms, and barhrooms were spectacular and very clean. Not recommended for elderly or those that need wheel chair, as there is no elevator."

"Great little hotel near the main strip in Avalon, California. The staff were very friendly and the room was more than expected for the rate we paid. We also went in the middle of the week so it was cheaper, fyi. They have a cute little courtyard with a fire pit in the middle and they offer light snacks and coffee in the morning. Will definitely come back here and visit again next time we are in Avalon."

"Very nice hotel for a reasonable price. It's located right off the main street (Crescent) so is very convenient for restaurants and other activities. The rooms are clean and quiet and look like they were recently renovated. Ours even had a jacuzzi built into the bathtub. A nice touch is the fire pit in the courtyard that is on from 6 to 9 pm daily. It's nice to sit around the fire and relax after a day of outdoor activities. Also they have free hot coffee, tea, and hot chocolate throughout the day in the courtyard, and free pastries in the morning. One thing I would recommend is that you try to get an upstairs room. I think we had a herd of disco-loving elephants staying in the room above us who liked to rearrange furniture at 6:30 in the morning. Just a suggestion..."

"Could be four stars except for a few things: the music they play outside - loud - for "ambiance" around the firepit was annoying. Oldies and country music - should have had generic instrumental mood music instead; also NO water OR cups in the room at all, how do you brush your teeth?; no coffee in the room but available in the downstairs lobby with only fruit punch and cookies for breakfast? That said - the tub was fabulous, but we felt bad using that much water during the drought. Bed comfy. Good location."
