Reviews
"This is a darling boutique hotel located a couple blocks from the heart of Solvang. Tammy greeted us with a warm welcome and offered personal recommendations of things to do, eat, and drink in the area. She even gave us a complimentary room upgrade for my birthday! I would happily stay here again when visiting Solvang and recommend to my own friends & family."
"Last minute road trip to Solvang and booked a two night stay here. Loved it. Cozy room. Clean. Nice bathroom with two shower heads. Good pressure. Walking distance to downtown Solvang. Very quiet area. The best part was the fire pit on the little patio. Enjoyed a nice glass of wine with my boyfriend. Highly recommend."
"We stayed for 4 nights. We stayed in the 2 story loft room. Positives: The room was immaculate in terms of cleanliness (the smell of the cleaning products is overwhelming). The location at the edge of town is excellent. The room is spacious on the top floor. Good on site parking. Negatives: There is ZERO customer service on site. They will tell you that there is, but there isn’t. The office is ALWAYS closed. The phone is NEVER answered. The voice mailbox is permanently FULL. We struggled to get fresh towels, soiled linens picked up, toilet paper… gross. All the bikes are rusted. The exterior is straight HOOD. Needs a paint job and much TLC. The roof is literally covered with a blue tarp. The road noise is atrocious for this unit. The sounds of the cars racing by would keep even a heavy sleeper awake. They will fail to tell you that you are right next door to a major construction site. They start hammering and drilling at 8am. We complained and were only told that it is the owners decision NOT to disclose this. We received zero empathy and zero compensation. The owner called us with such a rude and dismissive message that we didn’t even bother to call back. A/C unit is a joke. Works 10% of the time. All outdoor tables and chairs are worn, broken, useless. Cannot enjoy any outside area. Shady at best. Would not recommend or stay again."
"This is a new place to stay in Solvang. They warn you before you book that it’s about 4 blocks from the Main Street. We arrived early and checked to see if our room was available. It was not but she said that she would call us when it was available. At 3:00 I called again and was told by a different person that the room had been ready for awhile. We drove over and checked in. The manager even helped us carry some of our luggage upstairs. We loved the retro style of the room. The digital lock worked great except in the morning when I just couldn’t get in. Luckily my wife was in the room and opened the door. I would stay there again. Room prices right now are very reasonable."
"We really enjoyed staying here. We were on the ground floor, Room #1. The room was very clean and cute. We had coffee and tea available, wine glasses and coffee and tea cups, a microwave and fridge. In the bathroom, we had all the necessary toiletries, towels and the toilet paper was not the cheap one-ply in case you find that important :) We loved having a fire pit in our private patio. There is a front door and a back door to the room. The self check-in and check-out was very easy, but if we needed anything, all we had to do was call. They came right away. The location was perfect. A couple of blocks down from the city center, it was quiet, but still walkable to everything. There is a gym less than 2 blocks away and a running path just down the road. We would stay here again. Solvang is a charming little Dutch town with lots of wine tasting bars, bakeries, and mountainous views. A perfect weekend getaway."
