"Beautiful grounds with spacious sites. Located directly on Highway 1, only a few steps from the ocean. If you don’t mind about rude host and quite pricey rates this is your place to stay."
"We had a fantastic time at the campground! Ocean views from campsites 7 and 8 were stunning. Site 8 offered plenty of shade, while we managed to fit three 5 people tents in campsite 7. Restrooms are clean and in my opinion closed water sinks helped, as there were no lines. The well-maintained campsite, easy access to Sand Dollar Beach, and proximity to great hikes made the long drive from Bay Area totally worth it. The camp hosts were also incredibly friendly and helpful with all our questions. They recommended truly awesome hikes. Conveniently, you can purchase fire wood and fire starters right at the campsite. Overall, a highly enjoyable experience!!"
"We had an amazing time at Plaskett Creek. The campground hosts, Michael and Punky, were so friendly and helpful with any questions we had. They even let us use their phone to call AAA for car trouble. The campground itself is open and located in an awesome area right next to Sand Dollar Beach. 10/10 would recommend."
"We booked this on a recommendation. It was a nice quiet campground, bathrooms were clean. We had site 31, and there is no shade at all (there were 3-4 HUGE trees which had been cut down and the trunks were left, which made a fun for place for the kids to climb, but did not help with shade). Also we had two tents and both were either on a slope or had roots/lumps. I can sleep almost anywhere, but I do prefer a flat spot. Nice fire pit, extra long table, and separate bbq. Some other campers told us the poison oak on the trail down to Sand Dollar beach was so profound, it scared us away, so we never actually went there. Instead, we packed up the car and drove to Willow Creek just down the road a couple miles, and that was lovely with easy access to the beach. I would not go here again, as the drive was made long by the bridge being out (we came from Bay Area) and I didn't like the lack of privacy (we were definitely just right in the middle of everything and neighbors right there). Beautiful part of the coast though, and all in all it was a fun time, but I've been to better."
"Awesome campground! The hosts (Micheal and Punky Scruggs) were absolutely amazing and so welcoming! Sites and bathrooms were well taken care of and clean. The short walks across the road to Sand Dollar Beach and the coastal cliffs were breathtaking! Totally worth the windy Highway 1 drive. Incredible experience!"
