Le Petit Pali at 8th Ave Junipero Street, Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA 93921

"Cute photos, sounds lovely but there are several things lacking. Their website shows they have air conditioning in the rooms, but they do not (and we happened to be there while it was hot). It is also loud since it was on a main street with a grocery store behind. Some staff is friendly while several are indifferent. Pluses are: extremely close to shopping and food, breakfast is included, simple yet good (toast, pastries, soft boiled egg, yogurt). My biggest disappointment was the handling of the late check out. We requested to check out at noon because my husband had a meeting at 11 am (check out time). We were told they'd put a note for our room. Apparently it was not approved and we weren't told. I had to rush back from town to load my husband's bags into the car because he had already started his meeting and he had to move to the lobby mid meeting. Sliding a notice under the door that we did not get the late check out would have been appreciated."

"My daughter and I just stayed there. Everything about this hotel is amazing. We felt like we were staying in a house instead of a hotel. It was decorated beautifully with such attention to detail. The courtyard was just lovely. The breakfast was wonderful. It is right off the main street and very quiet. I can't wait to go again."

"We are from the East Coast, Long Island, and have never been to Carmel. We booked Le Petit Pali 8th Avenue based upon reviews we read. We were pleasantly surprised! It is a small, quaint, boutique hotel. They have a well appointed courtyard and the staff, especially Will P, is great! The rooms are nicely decorated and you are within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel! Again, the staff is phenomenal. Will, who is the bartender and takes care of guests at the outdoor courtyard, is an absolute pleasure! Polite, courteous and helpful. Have a conversation with him and it gives you hope for the future!! Stay here when coming to Carmel and you will not be disappointed!!!!!"

"Either a hot water kettle or a microwave would be nice. They offer a rubber hot water bag which doesn't stay hot from sink water alone. With no bath tub I was missing home. Overall, the adorable curated room and friendly staff really set a great tone for our trip. Would love to see more of a retail space in the lobby."

"My best friend and I had the best girls weekend get-away at Le Petit Pali! The hotel is so quaint, with beautiful attention to detail. The room was sparkling clean, and so cozy with complimentary drinks and a lovely fireplace. The complimentary breakfast was surprisingly delicious as well! The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. I can't recommend this place more!"
