"Pretender at quality lodging. Threadbare bedding and coarse towels. Room are old, hardware is rusty, outdated, plumbing is poor, furnishings are Motel6 shabby, everything is shabby. 400+ per night should allow owners to invest in upgrading. No customer service at desk before 8AM. Parking is so tight that you'll need to back out to allow passengers to load. Unloading/loading baggage is doubly difficult."

"What a total pleasure. Due to unforseen circumstances I had to delay, change dates and the staff were so helpful and kind. My room was really nice and had a few homey quirks which made it feel like a happy place. ( unlike same same hotel rooms). Staff was helpful and I just hated to leave. BUT I SHALL RETURN!!"

"Lovely little place, in a perfect location with the nicest staff, chilled area and walking distance to everything. The rooms are not top end and a bit dated, but extremely clean, maintained and everything there that you need. No need to update anything if it's maintained, cleaned well and functional, which it is. It's the only reason I dropped the rooms to 4 star, not a negative in my opinion. Really recommended and they're doing a great job there."

"We wanted to enjoy our stay to the fullest but unfortunately we were stuffed into a small room under a stairwell that felt like a basement. The room we checked in to did not match any of the photos of nice looking rooms that they use to advertise with (one of the reasons why we booked). After expressing my concern to staff our only option was to pay for a $100 room upgrade. Disappointed with the lack of transparency and false advertising."

"I wanted to say thank you to Svendsgaard's Front Desk and Management. I had a hard time figuring out which rooms were ground level from the website and called before making a reservation online. I mentioned I had an older dog who had trouble with stairs and was trying to find out which rooms were on the ground floor. I was told ALL rooms marked pet friendly are located on the ground floor, but to still mark in the notes one is needed to be sure when booking online and I did. A couple days later I got a call that the room I had reserved, while technically considered a ground floor room, did unfortunately have a set of stairs leading to it. They kindly and patiently helped me find a photo that showed the layout of the grounds so I could understand the stairs situation and helped me find an alternate room that was more accommodating of our needs. I greatly appreciate the time taken to assist me this morning and wanted to say thankful you for the wonderful customer service provided."
