"Great location within a 1/2 mile of the Beach Boardwalk. Rooms are remodeled. Basic but, fit all my needs. I stayed 4 nights in February in the off season and the rates were very affordable. Rooms @ the front on the Ocean Street side can be a little noisy from traffic. Pool looked clean & well maintained"
"Don't stay here! My room had a loose almost broken faucet in the bathroom, I should've let staff know but I didn't. After checkout, they blamed me for the broken faucet and kept my $100 deposit. After I called the hotel they told me to call back tomorrow to speak with the manager, but they never answered after I called multiple times. Don't stay here! They will try to keep your deposit over nothing."
"The owner and his wife were very hospitable upon check in and when requesting extra towels. They seem to get along well with their staff who are also very friendly. The rooms are nice and the spa/pool area was empty while we were staying. Sometimes the smell of downtown Santa Cruz works its way through the open roof of the hotel but otherwise the atmosphere is pleasant. The price of the room was also very reasonable. There is a $100 deposit upon check in though."
